correction namekians can eat but they simply dont need to because namekians have enzymes in their body wich transforms water into the same nutrients as food . they can eat but they only do that for the enjoyment/flavour your welcome :D

@@ashura6987Basically after nearly being mugged by frieza soldiers one of the namekians ends up being forced to eat food because their body can no longer ingest water.
That's crazy, I always thought that when the server got to him to take his order, he was like, "I don't want anything, I'm good;" but the server was like, "well, you gotta have SOMETHIN'! LOL! I'll just bring you a water and you just let me know if you change your mind, ok hon?" So he's just sitting there grumpy since he didn't want anything but still touched that she was so nice to him, internally debating with Kami and Nail how much of a tip to leave.
Namekians can eat food, they just don’t have to because they can get their nutrients from water. That said, Piccolo does like to eat at time, but there’s a time in the series where he’s so disgusted by Goku and Vegeta scarfing down so much food so fast that he loses his appetite.

It really not that hard to believe that Piccolo is like a plant and uses the sun light to nourish him along with the water and maybe only eats every once and while to get other types of minerals he maybe lacking in his diet.
At first I was thinking “hmm. I wonder if he feels left out.” But then I realized this is the equivalent of watching your friends eat a bunch of squishy rocks.

I noticed that halfway through the game like 2 years ago. I knew Namekians only drink water, but never ate food with Piccolo in my party, so it took me forever to see this ingame.
“Namekians dont eat food and just drink water” On Namek theres a side quest where you literally get a lettuce to feed a young namekian Edit: to everyone saying lettuce is water it’s still food that you eat you dont drink lettuce
The side quests dont make any sense tho. They're filler and not canon. Almost every side quest has you fight the same red ribbon army skull robots that kid goku fought. The side quests arent even voiced...
I'm not shitting on the game. Kakarot is a top teir DBZ game. It just has a few flaws. Not enough Super content, bad side quests, Vegito is stuck in Super Saiyan. Only 4 equip slots for moves and transformations. Not enough endgame bosses (there's only 3).
Pretty sure they actually explained in that side quest that the stress of frieza's invasion somehow threw his normal means of food production into disarray. So, even though he tried drinking just water, his body couldnt produce the nutrients. Gohan theorized that maybe for a short while he just needs some actual food while it all settles down
@@Speedpunk650 yeah I had a lot of fun playing the game but the side quests were a little weak. If it wasn't skull robos for the millionth time it was some kinda fetch quest. Honestly it wouldn't be so bad if the main story didn't also have some fetch quests and you didn't run into RR robots all the time in random encounters
