To be fair, animation studios for all types of animation have been being rushed since the dawn of time. Movies work on tight, fast schedules and animation takes a lot of time, it's as inevitable as Thanos

I love the small shit like that, shows the thought that was put into the craft. Hell, even when someone is on a phone call & it shows them just being on their Home Screen, ugh. So to see the effort put into Peter being on the video too, props!
They likely just had the phone display a green screen and then imparted an image on it in post. If they had to really CGI Peter on a live phone screen that would be ridiculously hard to do

There's a video from DOOMBLAZER that he said is most of the vfx team are working from home so that's why there's some goofy cgi like in Dr Strange 2 and Thor 4 even in Spider-Man NWH but overall its not even noticeable from regulars. Let's just appreciate the effort they put on every projects of marvel and still there's some good cgi in marvel projects such as TFATWS, Eternals, Shang Chi, Loki and Hawkeye. And btw we're living in the pandemic era so things get a lot harder to pull off perfectly and for the safety of the actors.
