Nah, simply Thor wasn't in shape, that's it. 2014 Thanos I think they were getting at was more lithe, virulent and 4 years younger or however many years, and was at his peak, though idk how the 14 Thanos could have known about what happened in 18 when storm breaker broke his chest, bc IV read that's why Thanos was pushing the axe into Thor's chest and grinning as if "how do you like it" but how could he have known what technically didn't happen yet? but either way iv come across several accounts of opinion that 14 Thanos was faster stronger and tougher than 18, where 18 was wiser and smarter

I think the logic is very wrong in infinity war Thanos was not ready for Thor attack and he was processing the infinity stone at that time and we have seen every time he welded a power stone he got weaker with his techniques also became more merciful. While endgame Thanos was the kill happy Thanos with full momentum and no infinity stone he has his techniques of fighting just like we have seen in infinity war movie at first with hulk vs Thanos also 2nd reason Thor became slower because of his not fighting and fatness. So it's not only promo but also he is the most strongest when it comes to hand to hand😊
