Did you know that 'We Wish You a Merry Christmas' dates back to 16th-century England? This festive carol was originally sung by carolers who went door-to-door, wishing their neighbors good cheer and asking for treats. The lines 'Oh, bring us some figgy pudding' and 'we won't go until we get some' reflect the tradition of demanding food and drink from hosts. Figgy pudding, a popular Christmas dessert, was one of the treats carolers would receive. Join us as we explore the history of this cheerful carol and its role in spreading holiday merriment.

Hey, Santa Tom. Mind if you do a video on Christmas at Bracebridge Hall by Washington Irving, also known as Old Christmas? Known for Rip Van Winkle and The Legend of Sleepy Hollow, Washington Irving was responsible for bringing Christmas to America.
