Mark! Thank you so much for taking the time to do this PLUS all you did there! I wasn't able to attend (finishing up another spine surgery recovery) but I stayed on top of everything as if I was there thanks to others like you that took the time to keep us all post on social media! What a great time we live in that we can share info like this almost instantly where as 20ish years ago we had to wait till next months magazine to come out with a few pages of coverage. I didn't realize just how many wonderful friends car audio had given me until I was watching this and saying..."There's Matt....there's Pate....Mark, Mark, and uh, Mark!....and so many many more!" With tech only getting better, and larger (that's LF 3D printer....oh my!) I can't imagine what car audio is going to become in the next decade or even the next year! Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU again! (and thanks for closing with that beautiful face of Chewy!)
I was at the expo. You being on stage during the build off explaining what was happening and interviewing the guys as they were building was a nice touch. It made me actually sit down and watch. Not sure I would of sat down to watch if no one was moderating.
What an AMAZING Event!!! I would LOVE to be able to make it next year!! Thank you for telling us about, you just doubled the size of the attendees LOL :D I'm gonna have to vote for #4 just going on aesthetic, but what else can we judge? lol - REALLY liked how the light was able to reveal and hide the diamond pattern depending on which direction you were looking, kinda like #1 - but #1's dark red, shiny fabric didn't fit in with every thing else... it reminded me of (I know this is gonna sound silly) lingerie a but too much.. it seemed to be a bit too lacy and just didn't match the clean lines and smooth surfaces of everything else in it and the other 3 builds... but it still looked great, just a bit out of place again, THANK YOU for showing us this one of a kind event, I can't wait to see if you have some more vids about your time there and HOPEFULLY next year is EVEN BIGGER!!! :D
The only suggestion as an event that may want to be -the- place for driving education on the subject is to repeat a couple of the courses in the weekend. I think you emcee-ing is also a value prospect since your instructional tone from your videos here carries over well.
G'day mate!! Love the channel. An absolute mountain of knowledge! Question regarding sub box design, I want to keep my subs well protected (in a 4x4) can I fully enclosed the subs or will that severely impact their audio performance, imagine a standard rectangular sub box, with a sheet of MDF covering the face of the subs (open at the bottom) stood off approx 15-20mm from the sub face, hope this makes sense!! Would love any advice
So I'm new to building subwoofer boxes ,I have a question does it matter if my ported box had more air space then my sub needs ?? Does it make a difference 🤔?? I appreciate 🙏 some help.
The build off should consist of teams doing a FULL build in a randomly selected vehicle that has to be built over 3 days of 8 hrs each 24 hr total build time) then the 3rd day of event the build is judged by the people in 3 categories looks, efficiency and parameters. That would be epic and more fun as well as attract more sponsors and certainly many more views and attention which would equal more revenue for winners and shops. Lol your welcome!
I have a question .... CIs eliminating RCA connections an option. Can I just cut the rca ends off the wires coming from the amp and dsp and solder them together??? I am installing a DSR1 to 2 rockford amps inside the fairing of a 2012 harley and the rca connections take up way to much room . THANKS for any advice
@@CarAudioFabrication yes sir you always slow things down a bit and its very helpful especially when its really technical. Tuning especially and since you so familiar with JL IMHO it would be very helpful. That device can do so many things and a lot of questions come up.
Kinda torn between #1 and #4. 4 has a clean look, but almost too clean, looks like something that could come factory. I’m kinda leaning more towards 1, in a stereo system I want something that stands out and has style, that red fabric stands out for me!!
