Augustin and Felix are such supportive dads. And care for the family when Abuela won’t. Even Bruno. Like when Bruno came back, Felix and Augustin immediately welcome him back, Felix calls him “bro” and Augustin hugs him.

Pedro's death is assumed to be around the time of la Guerra de los Mil Dias, a civil war that happened in Colombia around the start of the 20th century. Mira in Spanish means "look" and bel is short for the word for beautiful, bella. So her name means "Of wondrous beauty"

Another fact about him is when he got caught by Dolores when Mirabelle and him were talking about the vision Bruno made, he said, "miércoles." That means Wednesday in Spanish, but it's also a play on words. You know how people sometimes censor themselves by saying fudge instead of the f word? Well, miércoles is also a way of saying "mierda," which is sh!t. Kinda not kid friendly, but it's an interesting fact in case people didn't know 👍
This kinda reminds me about the italian dub of Luca: when Alberto and Luca got to the town, there was an edit showing different people who lived there. At some point there was an old guy playing w cards with his friends that lost and he said "Fanculo,,, which means "Ah fuck,, It wasn't "censored,, like "mierda,, in encanto, but that's the first time I heard a swear word in a disney film I hope this is understandable, english isnt my first language and I got no sleep at all so my brain is giving up on life
Him and Felix are the best in the entire movie bc they are so nice and supportive and Augustin literally was like “Abuela get on your level I am not thinking about your gift I am thinking about MY daughter” his is my favorite character
That's true. Felix calms down Peppa most of the time and Augustin would take a hit for his daughters because it actually shows him arguing with abuela about protecting his family
But like facts😭🤣 I simped for him the second I saw him on screen- it's just the Suave, the suit, the hair, the glasses, the expressions, and persona- love him🤣
Imagine the plot twist if there’s enchanting 2 and we find out Mirabell had a power all along of reading peoples minds but she could only do so when her glasses are removed and she never found out cuz she never took off the glasses in front of people
I feel like Mirabel and Luisa both got him socks as a gift one time and they didnt know the other got him socks too but Agustin loves the gifts anyway so he wore them but with the classic "one Luisa-themed sock, one Mirabel-themed sock" combo
This is canon to me. You can’t change my mind. Just the idea of him saying “they both gave me socks! What do I do!? Wait! I’ll just wear one of each!” is just so funny to me 😂
@@tristanceles7738 mufasa is awful. As a father, he’s decent, at best. But he’s very unlikeable, when you really think about it. I mean, consider the villain of the lion king! Just think about his motives for a moment and how mufasa went on about it…
I love both him and Felix. I love both the couples as well. They’re both so sweet and supportive of their kids. I lean into liking him and Julietta a bit more because they are so supportive of Mirabel. I know their Abuelo was killed, but the grandkids, including our main character Mirabel, all have two loving parents who are *gasp* still alive.
I think I like both the couples in it because they both Tell the Abuela that she is being to hard on Mirabell for not having an Encanto/Miracle and I feel like they are just supper kind parents
Its a nice headcanon of mine, but i think when mirabel got her iconic green glasses, Agustin saw them and said "¡Mija! ¡Mija! Lets match! I'll get glasses like yours!" Or mirabel decided that when she got her glasses, she thought "I'll get these so papa and i could match!"
@@lulolie How many optometrists does a Columbian village need in early 1900's? In big cities like London sure, you have options, but not in a third world country. While it's possible for the lone optometrist to make different styles, there's not a bunch of demand when they only have two customers. Might as well keep the design simple and clean for yourself and whoever is supplying the glass material.

@@strangerthings0151Nope, it’s Isabela. Durning the movie she was the one to be getting married off to Mariano. Traditionally the eldest would always be the one to have a suitor to continue with a blood line. She also was considered the golden child. That tends to happen with children of three, they have their roles. Either they have to be a perfect child or they remember / hear everything (Dolores) middle child will either be the one to carry all the burdens alone (Luisa) or the kind of forgotten child who will cause mischief for attention (Camilo) and the youngest, usually they are the favourite (Mirable until she was no longer important because she didn’t have a gift and Antonio.) or the youngest takes the forgotten role if they are unable to provide in some way. (Mirable after her ceremony.)

If we ever get an Encanto sequel, I want to see Augustin interact with Isabela and Luisa more because I don’t think he spoke to either of them the entire movie.
He’s a very loving dad. It’s just too bad nobody was brave enough to stand up to Abuelita except for Mirabel. It’s awesome it’s Mira, tho, cause it shows she’s strong-headed and capable of leading the family as the next matriarch.
I mean.. the wat he goes after Luisa when she is crying it’s so sweet, does he does something like that to Isabella?? He interacts more with Luisa and Maribel, probably because Abuela was all over Isabella
He was also one of the FEW members of the family that stood up for Maribel against the grandmother matriarch. Good on him...and nice to see a positive show of fatherhood...rare these days in animation, especially with Disney nowadays.
Latest Disney movies - Wish: she does everything for her loving grandfather, frozen: father made wrong choice but did what he thought was right for his daughter. Little mermaid: strict father, but he loves his daughter dearly. Elemental: dad gives up everything for his daughter and once he finds out she doesn’t want to take over his shop, supports her anyway, Turning Red: dad supports daughter while mum goes crazy. Raya and the last dragon: dad sacrifices himself for his daughter. Mulan: my favourite dad daughter scene, where the most important thing to her dad, is mulan. The Lion king; who could argue that mufasa wasn’t the greatest cartoon dad of all time. I don’t know what dads you’re hating on, but off the top of my head, I can’t think of many bad ones… oh, beauty and the beast, dad fights for daughter. He’s a good dad too. I still can’t see how Disney does dads the dirty.
Well, both Luisa and Mirabel are quite down to earth, and appear more approachable to Isa. Isabella, however, is angelic and otherworldly, unspeakably removed. It also shows how separated Isa is from her sisters. Isa damn near hates Mirabel, and she hardly ever spoke to Luisa during the entire movie

I'm pretty sure he wears glasses because he has myopia. In fact that's probably why Mirabel wears them too, mostly likely inheriting the myopia from him.
No, Isabela is the eldest sister and grandchild, since she's in her early 20s (20-22 yrs old). Luisa is the middle child and is in her late teens (18-19 yrs old).
Antonio=5 years old Mirabel=15 years Camilo=15.5-16 years Luisa=18-19 years Dolores=20-22 years Isabela=23-25 years Give or take. But Isa is the oldest and Tonio is the youngest.
I just love to repeat the scene where when Abuela got mad at him and said "Think of the family", he said "I was thinking of my daughter" so confidently like I was damn happy.
