It is 100% my new fave - I cannot get over how good this is! It's an excellent shade match for me, feels absolutely weightless, looks very skin-like but with a nice glow (satin rather than dewy), and it REALLY HOLDS UP. I've worn it when it was in the 80s with high humidity, sweating like crazy while exercising, and on a very, very long day at a family reunion (12+ hours). It held up in every situation. It is AMAZING.
I was already wondering if you stayed inside for 8hrs or did you actually go outside with that white line on your face, then you did go outside with that😂
I actually bought the Maybelline in that same shade last week and its a tad too orange on me. Instead of returning it, i was inspired by you to purchase blue mixing pigment! Wish me luck on trying it out later today! HAPPY 4TH❤❤
@@frosty_teacup I purchased L.A.Girl PRO.color Foundation Mixing Pigment in blue,as mentioned, for only $6.99. Not only did I try it, but I tried it with three other foundations that were various levels of too orange! 10/10 Highly recommend 👌 It was super easy to gradually add it in to make the perfect corrected shade. I did this both on the back of my hand and just pumping some drops directly on my face directly after liquid foundation. All four I tried it with were different from skin tint, to something more like pure serum to a thick full coverage. It did not change the texture or normal wear out of any of them! Not to mention it was kinda fun to do all the testing and such. Also, I am thrilled because it feels like I now own four foundations that are perfectly matched! If curious I am considered light medium with neutral undertones. Or so the colors that match perfectly as they came say. For $6.99, I would say if you are curious to try it, it is worth treating yourself! 💓✌️
@@juliannacolombo5584 you're absolutely amazing for this in-depth reply, thank you so much!!! I've been toying with the idea of getting it since I'm new to makeup and just bought a good foundation that's a little too yellow, and I don't want to spend too much money and throw this one away lol. I was conflicted since I'm not artsy or skilled at all and figured I would mess it up. But this gives me confidence, especially since it appears that I've also been told I'm light/medium with neutral undertones (shade 125 in Maybelline fit me for reference)!! Thank you again for this, I'll probably go and buy it next week! Have an amazing day!! 😊😊💖💖
@@frosty_teacup 🥰 I did a little happy dance and said out loud "oh! YAY!" 🤣 I am thrilled to have been of service. A service? No..of service. LMAO English is,indeed, my native language, just feeling a little unsure at almost 3:30am! Anyways.. Last few years I have been taking advantage of RU-vid to learn some actual makeup skills beyond what I had gradually figured out looked alright on my own! I only found this creator recently and she has taught me a lot of tricks! I highly recommend subbing to her, if you haven't already. Another trick , influenced by she who's page we are engaging on... I had a concealer which was way too light, so before applying it (liquid), I used a matte orange powder blush and then the concealer on top! It worked. That lead me to try the same theory for a foundation a bit too pale. I heavily applied it to my cheeks and then everywhere except where I would want to either highlight or be a little lighter(for this I mean under where one would contour the cheek bone/above jaw line). YUP! That worked too! Ironic you would mention Fit ME! I have heard it reccomended so many times. I was eyeing it the other day but then got overwhelmed by the sheer number of shade options. I gave up and had planned to poke around on the website to find some sort of starting tester point! Thank you kindly for sharing!! My sweet younger sister is just getting into makeup as well. She had never bought a foundation before and none of mine seemed exactly right. She was interested in the KVD Good Apple line. Because makeup is something we do together and are back to living together/sharing a bathroom...she wanted to treat me to one as well. We went to Sephora and asked an employee to help match us. Woman was super friendly . Product goes for $47, I believe. I got the balm version of foundation. Never had a foundation balm before. Medium 27 is actually light medium, neutral undertone 😘 My sister went with the liquid and her color , Light 18 turns out is light medium, cool peach undertones! I knew there was warm peach, but not cool! A great tidbit the woman was chatting to us about..skincare! She tried the colors on the back of our hands, when we were satisfied she then applied to one side of our face. She asked if we didn't mind she wanted to apply moisturizer on the other side and then the foundation. We didn't need convincing, we were coming off long shifts, so we were makeup free, yes, but not makeup ready. Very noticeable improvement! Apparently right before us she mentioned having a customer who she had spent a decent amount of time trying to convince there was no magical concealer or "cover up" for her to buy..explained the whole thing about how sadly many influencers only show the beauty filters images..and that the product she actually needed was a skincare item with NO makeup until whatever the issue was got under control! Yikes..I think I got excited to share and wrote a mini novel. Wishing you so much luck! Hope you have fun! And of course that it all works out! Keep an eye out for ya in a future comment section here 😘✌️
How does it feel on the skin? I'm looking for something that doesn't feel like your wearing makeup. Through the years I've grown to not like the feeling on my face even though I love wearing foundation. I don't like the greasy/sticky feeling.
As a woman with dry mature skin, the only way I can get the Maybelline to work for me is to put a hydrating oil on as a primer... and then I agree, I like it a lot - otherwise, forget it.
I have both and I fell in love with the Maybelline one. I wore it for 9 hours and my makeup looked as fresh as it did when I put it on besides my eyeliner falling under my eyes❤
I get it you’re doing a wear test but what primer would you put with these? I tried a serum primer but I need something that helps for pores and dry skin.
L’oréal SA is a french company that owns 36 brands, and Maybelline is under their umbrella ☂️ These are practically the same, but the Maybelline has a stabilized form of vitamin C and the L’oréal one Hyaluronic acid.
The loreal side looks prettier...the mabelline side is doing weird things around the mouth. Looks like oxidation and creasing. It blended better because powders blend better over foundation, and, its literally just a thick ass foundation.
They honestly look the same on camera. I think if i do try one of these i will go for maybelline anyways. Loreal has too much pink in their shades for me any time ive tried their base products in the past.
I can’t get a color match for this stuff! Tried 220 and it was slightly too dark so tried 129 and it was SOOOOOO DARK and orangey pink. Loved the coverage and got loads of compliments when I used color 220 it was just a bit too dark.
Me too I was really shooked how maybelline skin tint on me looks flawless and still fresh after 6-8 hours!!!! My pores were still blurred, and the skin tint didn’t crease on my smile lines!! i only had a gel moisturizer on prior to application
