Now that I'm gearing up to begin another Reborn with Me! Series, I would love to hear from you! Did You Reborn with Me?

I did! I actually painted my doll step by step with you and she was just beautiful. I have since developed my own style and techniques but the foundation of my process is inspired by your attention to detail, your light touch and using the right tool for the job. Thank you so much for this series I recommend it to anyone I know who is just starting out and we refer to you often on our doll forum. I now have my own nursery and I am selling lots of babies, credit to you for getting me excited about doing this and making it so enjoyable.

Looking forward to your next series. I'll have to post a pic to you. I'm in the process of rooting hair so I'm not complete yet. I'm editing to add that the way you do baby nails is the most realistic way I've seen on reborn dolls. Thank you for that tutorial. And, to add, your real weight program is so great. Cheers!

I have been watching you for a while know and today I finally did it, ordered everything I need to do my first reborn doll!! Surprisedly I ordered from three sources and I got everything for under $70.00! That includes the doll kit, all tools, paints etc.. I will be doing air dry painting on doll (acrylic) super excited but scared because when trying to mix the color for AA! Thank you for sharing all your knowledge and making it seem not impossible! Love your videos!!!!!!!

I might. I typically paint the hairline and root the rest because I prefer the look of rooted hair. I do have a hair drawing course that will be available soon, which may take care of some of your hair painting needs. ;) Thanks so much!

Miss Kim I have a question about painting what is the best paint is it Genesis heat paint or is it the acrylic paint

That's really a matter of opinion. Genesis has been around longer and is most widely used by artists who have been reborning for a long time. Most tutorials & classes will be based in Genesis, so you'll have more help available to you. Its also very reliable. But you do need a portable oven, which is an additional cost of Genesis. Acrylic paints have the benefit of not needing to be heated, so you can work with doll kits too big to fit in an oven or vinyl that doesn't heat well, like LDC. The vinyl has to be prepped before acrylic paints will stick to it and these paints take much longer to cure - sometimes days. A humid or rainy day will add even more curing time. There is a perception that acrylic paint is better for your health, since you're not heating vinyl and releasing fumes. But acrylics evaporate formaldehyde and/or ammonia when they cure, so you're exposed to some sort of fumes either way. I personally prefer to work in Genesis, but Acrylic paints are also a good and viable option for reborning. Hope that helps!
