This is EXACTLY what I say all the time. Money doesn't corrupt one's character. It just allows the person to feel comfortable enough to show who they TRULY are.
Too much money can corrupt a person's character if they're not grounded correctly with humility. It's not always that simple! Sounds good; very easy to say money allows a person to feel comfortable enough to show who they really are. That is not always the case for people. A person can have great character before they come into a lot of money, and even still have good character when obtained. The problem usually starts when you're around others in an atmosphere where they abuse the money they have because of the power it can bring having so much. If that is not balanced out then it will create a monster that only God can get rid of. It's very very easy to be misled because corruption doesn't happen immediately; it's subtle and slowly takes its course. Even the bible warns us about evil associations that can corrupt good manners, especially if we stay around it too long. The same goes for too much money a person can't handle but really believes they can. Money is a tool/means for different resources. When people allow it to become their God, and your around yes men/women, bad things will occur to the highest level.
