Mentorship goes beyond guidance-it’s about sharing knowledge and expanding networks to bridge the opportunity gap, and Spear Education did just that by hosting our inaugural Diversity in Dentistry Mentorships Panel and Social Event which was an impactful success!
Pre-dental students from ASU and dental students representing SNDA & HSDA from ATSU-Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health & Midwestern, came together with community dentists and esteemed faculty of Spear for evening of learning and networking!
Thank you to our Panelists who joined Dr. Hishaw in providing insight and inspiration to our mentees, Drs. Steve Ratcliff, DDS, MS, Darin Dichter, and Jeff Bonk. DIDM Mentor, Dr. Isaac LaVant served as our wonderful Moderator.
After the panel discussion, students were given a tour of the campus and labs and got to win some great prizes including a pair of Q-Optics surgical loupes and headlight ($3400 value) and two Spear Seminar Workshop seats. The students left feeling valued and hopeful!
