It looked absolutely beautiful and amazing. It was great to hear about the fasting. I fast regularly with the most being 3 days to recycle the damaged cells and because I’m peri menopausal. I’ve talked to my gp beforehand. It’s not for everyone. Thank you for taking us along Jo. 😊

Yes! I love the hair natural. No need to have blow drys! It looks better with a little natural wave….it looks thicker and more flattering.

I haven’t had a detox Jo but I went to live in Tanzania with my husband for his work, taking my 2 children and realised I didn’t have any asthma, didn’t even take my inhalers out of my suitcase! No asthma until I returned to the UK. Very interesting! Xx

I had a food intolerance test done a couple of years ago. It came back three pages long!! So, I have completely changed the way I look at food and how I eat. Best thing I have ever done for my health!

Jo, I loved your hairstyle, when it was slightly curled. Wear it that way more. What a wonderful Retreat. I went on one many years ago when I was divorced. I was on the juices and broths for 2 days and light diet on the 3rd day. Only lost 2lbs but I was very slim naturally. I felt I was walking on air when I returned home. I know how you feel. Your liver detoxes you. That’s it’s job. Detox items aren’t necessary. Restrictive dieting isn’t bad tho

You can have food intolerances or symptoms with certain foods, without it showing on a blood test. You are best to go on observation and how you feel. If you get bloating or any symptom frequently after a certain food, you are best to avoid it, especially not eat it on a regular basis.

Great trip. Enjoy! My home and garden are my paradise. Luckily don' t have to go far by trains, planes, ferries, busses underground. My paradise is always within reach. No crowds , no noise. No delays. No mosquitos. Always drink decaffeinated coffee and tea..

@@MiddleAgedMinx I think so too, Jo. And i know very busy city life thoroughly.. I lived in the centre of The Hague for 16 years. Very consciously chosen for this life in the country since 1990. My roots/ childhood lay in the country side , so the easy going life with nature it is well known to me. Busy with Dahlias planting and more trivial but to me most important and fascinating things :) .I do love watching your life!

Funny about the food intolerance test, my hubs took the test because of a pretty bad unknown reaction. It was from an independent allergy test company and it came back with SO many intolerances that it was scary. We then scheduled tests with our primary Dr. to confirm and make changes going forward. Guess what? The tests came back completely opposite outside of a few matching grass and tree allergies. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Hi Jo, I went to Malta on my first ever overseas holiday when I was 16. I've been back multiple times over the years but never been to Gozo. It looked great and I like the idea of the retreat. I have PCOS and high cortisol so it sounds like fasting could help a little with my hormones. Did you like the raw food options during the stay? varied? flavoursome? 🤔

Lovely you had a wonderful time at that retreat. So happy to hear you have no intolerance. I had mine done 5 months ago and only garlic intolerance and most food has it. I’m looking at the Somerset retreat…is it honestly worth the expense? I’d really like to try it, and I have to say it Jo, you are totally amazing, your body is well looked after and you can tell!
