We flew from Alberta Canada, to watch the solar eclipse near Burnet, Texas! It was totally worth it! You cannot really describe it in words! Our Creator God is amazing!!! We listened to the crickets, watched the shadow of my son's hand be fuzzy on one side, then be sharp as can be on the other side ( you have to google it to see what I mean!), and to see the stars and planets and solar flares from the sun! When the sky went black it was incredible! It was a rush, and we are so blessed to have experienced it! Our God is powerful!!!

I'm in Indianapolis. The sky was clear. I sat with my sweet neighbors who made it an event. It was eerie but magnificent. The city literally drew thousands. I'm a proud Hoosier. (Midwest Farmer's Daughter)

I was in Albany, NY where it was 80% totality. I was able to see it until it was like a sliver. The temps did drop, but it did not get dark out. Dark enough for streetlights & headlights to turn on. Syracuse, NY’s Rosamond Gifford Zoo has 1 yr old twin Elephant calves. They were out with the herd during this & at 100% totality when it did get dark, the herd pulled the twins into them & formed a circle around them for protection. It was really kool!

I watched a total eclipse in the UK in 1999. A friend held a garden party so we could watch it together. Like you, Granger, I thought 'what's the big deal' but it'll be nice to spend the afternoon with friends and neighbours. When the sky started to darken and then went pitch black it was so awesome. Everything and everyone went silent. How great is our God.

1979 was my senior year of high school. We were in Florida at Disney World on our senior trip when the total solar eclipse happened. It was wild. I will never forget it! There are some video's made yesterday at some of the zoos. The reactions of the animals were strange to say the least. Even some giant turtles were doing their best to run. Did ya'll notice if your chickens went to roost? Lots of folk's chickens did. The birds did too!

I read 2nd Corinthians 3 the morning of the eclipse! "We are not like Moses, who would put a veil over his face to keep the Israelites from gazing at it while the radiance was fading away.3:14But their minds were made dull, for to this day the same veil remains when the old covenant is read. It has not been removed, because only in Christ is it taken away.3:15Even to this day when Moses is read, a veil covers their hearts.3:16But whenever anyone turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away.3:17Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.3:18And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord's glory, are being transformed into his likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit. If Moses' face reflects God's glory, how much more will we reflect God"s glory through his Holy Spirit who now lives in US! Our God is an awesome God!

Your reaction is similar to mine in 2017. I was in Jamestown, Missouri hoping that the drive by myself from DFW was worth it. Not only was it worth it, I would've done that drive with traffic a million times over. Totality is such a beautiful, humbling, and indescribable experience. Like you said, you can't understand it until you've experienced it. I saw this eclipse as well and it was just as good as my first in 2017! No on to 2027 and 2028!! I may not do 2026 since it'll be hard to chase.

Thanks for sharing total eclipse our God is Awesome! These scriotures came to mind while watching as we know the sun, moon, and stars are physical phenomena accompanying our Lord’s return. Jesus was placed on the cross at 9 a.m. (Mark 15:25), then “from noon until th ree in the afternoon darkness came over the whole land” (Matt. 27:45) Matthew 24 vs 29-30 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. Review 8 vs 12 Then the fourth angel sounded: And a third of the sun was struck, a third of the moon, and a third of the stars, so that a third of them were darkened. A third of the day did not shine, and likewise the night. King Jesus is returning soon 🙏 🙌 ✨️ ❤️

Here in Poplar Bluff, MO we hit totality at 1:59:16 with no clouds. It got black, the street lights came on, dawn to dusk lights on my flagpole came on. The city had a fireworks display that lasted all most as long as the eclipse. 1 minute before the eclipse the birds started roosting in the trees, there were no birds on the ground. I saw a dove, a crow, a cardinal, a robin, a woodpecker and a squirrel all huddled in one tree. Gods power on display, only God can have that kind of timing and a semblance of life with the death of the sun. The last time I saw one was in the 1960's and I was in elementary school. We did not have the glasses because plastic had not yet been invented. We got a cardboard box and poked a hole in one side, glued a piece of white paper inside on the opposite side of the hole. You put the box over your head and pointed the hole toward the sun so inside you saw a light spot and then it went dark. Thousands of tourists came to town and every parking lot was full. Never look at it without the glasses it can damage your retina from the radiation.

Outside my house it went dark and it was eerie and completely silent. I am in southwestern Ontario in Canada it started at 2pm and hit totality at 3:15pm. All schools were given a PA day so no students were exposed to the eclipse since the high schools get out at 2:30 and the public schools get out between 3:15 and 3:30

Wow! We did not get to experience this in North Idaho but “seeing” it with Y’all was fabulous. What a gift from the Lord!

So cool! Thanks for sharing! I live in Missouri and we tried going down to where totality was but the traffic was insane!! It was still neat to see even though it wasn’t totality

Austin gal here. I got very emotional. It was unbelievable and I also thought people were freaking out for no reason. Then I saw it. And it really changes you. It was beautiful and peaceful.
