Reminds me of when my parents died. I was 18. My brother was 22 and already partying before they were cremated. Left me few weeks afterwards in a lonely house. Family stops coming along. Only thing you got is your own echo and dark feelings. Now my health got fucked over the years and there is no end. Not even sure why I'm sharing this, never do. It's been 10 years now.

Im a 19 year old, found out i have cancer 9 months ago. Life was perfect back then now that i look at it. You know, its hard. All of my friends are now in college, going out with eachother probably everyday while i am stuck, battling with a life or death situation. I finished chemotherapy but the cancer is still here. Im sad. It is what it is. Im trying to get some financial support so that i can get second treatments from other doctors who specialize in my cancer so hopefully i can survive. It hurts when you realise that the friends you had, are slowly distancing from you... and there’s nothing you can do about it, you see them everyday at school. You try to start conversations but they answer with one word and walks off. You sit alone when it’s lunchtime, looking on social media not because it’s fun... but simply because there is nothing else to do. You have no energy so you can’t even help in group work, and you see your group mates slowly becoming more and more irritated at you, so you say tomorrow will be different, but when you wake up you say the same thing.

The tapping rain reminded me when I escorted my girlfriend's coffin to her final resting place. She slipped into coma after being run over by a DUI, a month before her graduation as a nurse, a month before asking her hand. I was a fresh paramedic that time and we were in a LDR meaning it took me some times to visit her. For a week, the ICU tracked almost no brain activity from her EEG, just basic reflexes. As soon I walked into her room, here. EEG capted her brain activity, like she was aware of my presence. She lasted few minutes before passing away. Enough time to tell her about the ring in my pocket, enough time for a last kiss on her forehead before hearing the ECG flatlining. I attended her funeral in my fully operative uniform and gears.
