Rich Leighton LOL I know, it's my favourite part. Haha he's awesome, dude. They all are. I saw them in concert last week and it was unreal! If they ever come by where you are I definitely recommend seeing them live. :D
Nanciefy I bet they are great in concert! They were here in Seattle not too long ago, but I had a photoshoot scheduled and missed it. Sucks! They probably will be back again though.... been a HUGE fan for years! :-)
Most famous people are putting on an act. These guys have even tried different acts out. There was that one where they dressed as some kind of office / school look. Maybe that one wasn't as successfully. She sure was cute in her outfit though.
I don't listen to rap, hiphop or whatever that doesn't have guitars in it, but somehow I like this. There are so many levels in their music/art, I can't say it's 'funny' because they deal with some serious shit sometimes, but still they present themselves with a humorous distance.
Jahobes racism is almost non existent in Johannesburg now, and you come out with an ignorant comment like that. Yeah zefs are white people but music is universal. Your comment is just ignorant and stupid.
spac3m0nkey Dude take a deep breath and relax. Name calling anonymously over the internet doesn't make you look smart or tough. First I never said anything about racism. But since you brought it up lets go their for a moment. I lived in Jo-burg a few years ago. Racism is still very much alive there as it is everywhere in the world. Do not kid yourself. And its perfectly normal to relate to people who you share an identity with. I was not being insulting, simply pointing out human nature. Ask yourself, how many black South Africans enjoy this Zef culture. Or how many white south africans enjoy Kwaito. Here in the states its between Country and Hip-hop. Then you will understand, why you relate to this group so well.
Magic Hey what’s up beautiful caeck me out sometime all the way from America New York City Brooklyn Bronx ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-6rIykt-fImY.html
+MrMrbinkels1541 Listen to the whole thing.. What means 'Die Antwoord' it means, 'the answer the answer to what? Whatever man, fuck.. It's the answer to whatever ther is, a.k.a everything?! :) Love 4 Die Antwoord '
"Comfort the disturbed and disturb the comfortable" this is an art band without the pretentious attitude of Indie bands you either love it or hate it but they're unique
All those years of working their asses off, formed this group along with this video thinking it’d prob go nowhere and boom. Goes to show that years and years and year of hard work is the shit but if your goal is the sole purpose of getting famous then good luck. All about the love of the music
These 3 band members compliment one another very well. That is the true success of many bands, each brings something different to the table and all create something.
This dude Ninja is actually really talented. Die Antwoord's music is straight party/ride around music. They arena act but don't let that act fool you. The dude had this group before called The Constructus Corporation and their one album was a concept album with a book. Dude has been in this for a minute. I do agree though they are an acquired taste.
All of you kids bashing this, but still love the new rap music these days. At least there is ONE group that is innovating and doing things new. If you don't like it fine, but these guys have more creativity in one song than most modern rappers have in their entire discography.
this is the one of many rap groups that i really like next to the ones who do anime ending songs, todays rap is aweful i don't even think the artiest care any more and just do it for money half of them use too much machine or use someones song that they bought from it's fucking aweful, now im not saying using machine or doing up a song is bad i happen to like vocaloid and the soulchild remix of 19 2000 im just saying
You seem like quite the fan Sally, here's something cool you may enjoy. Go to google maps and search for "13/18 De Mist street, Brooklyn, Cape Town, South Africa". Yolandi and Ninja's pretend Childhood homes for this video.
I didn't know Ninja and Yolandi Vi$$er even existed until I saw the movie Chappie. I thought they were just actors and when I found out they were acting as themselves it peaked my interest. I was really impressed and thought these two make it seem so real. It flowed and they made it fun. I liked the music in Chappie and wondered who's high pitched and unique voice that was. Now that I know the real deal, I checked out their bio's and am now watching this video. Die Antwoord's music as well as Ninja and Yolandi in Chappie leaves me feeling very intrigued. I really dig these two. NINGA - GANSTA #1 SON!
Die antwoord is a act aswell, although they are very very persistent with it. Before Die antwoord they were Max Normal TV. Also a rap formation, but slightly more..erhm..normal?
this isn't how they really are, it's another character. . . when they were in max normal ( their older band, they were 100% ) different, it's all an act and satire
As a white south african Afrikaans dude I love reading these comments. Fokken snaaks how they have convinced the world we all act and dress like that. You're right in saying it's a culture most people in the US don't understand but that's only because you don't see our culture in TV and Film as often as we see yours. Also +Mistress Athenais, Die Antwoord means "The Answer" so you shouldnt say "The Die Antwoord" hahaha just Die Antwoord :D Can't comment on his piel though, although that thing was swinging like crazy haha!
What's awesome is that they are on such a different level than everyone else, that haters don't even effect them and everything they do is done with confidence. You either get it or you don't. Love Die Antwoord :)
The 1st time I listened to Die Antwoord, I couldn't relate to their music not a single bit, but I loved watching them perform nonetheless. They have far more to offer than the songs you can find in youtube, if you search them and listen to more of their songs, you're most probable to find things that you find more suitable. I can now relate to some of their songs and I love it.
they were in a wicked movie with a robot , funny it had Hugh jackman in it and it rocked it was called CHAPPIE . you can knock them because there different from you but they had shit and stuck to there guns and get paid doing what they love now and to boot they branched out into a movie that was decent flick not a b rated pile of shit. Also they pulled it off with great acting skills i can say they have done amazing and deserve every bit of what they have.
Do you work for these no talent fucks? You have to if you said they have amazing acting skills. Now I see why people want to kill everyone in the world.
