Die Bark "Nürnberg" ist ein im Bau befindliches ferngesteuertes Modellsegelschiff, das rahgetakelt ist. Das Original war ein deutscher Windjammer, der ursprünglich 1867 in England als Vollschiff "Carnarvon Castle" vom Stapel lief und später zur Bark umgebaut wurde. Es war eines der ersten aus Eisen gebauten Klipper und hatte eine entsprechend alte Takelage mit Bugspriet und aufgesetztem, langen Klüverbaum. Das Video zeigt die Fernsteuerung mit Belegung der Kanäle zum Verstellen der Segel. Die Leinenführung mit allen Schoten, Brassen und Taljen ist im Modell so original wie möglich nachgebaut. Das Modell soll die Segelmanöver wie Halsen, Wenden und Beidrehen genauso ausführen können wie das Original. Das Video zeigt Tipps und Tricks für den Schiffsmodellbau von RC Segelschiffen mit Rahen.
Stapellauf ist im Frühjahr 2024 geplant beim Degersee-Treffen der Minisail-Classic.
The Barque "Nuernberg" - Installation of the Remote Control
The barque "Nürnberg" is a remote-controlled model of a sailing ship under construction, which is square rigged. The ship was a German windjammer that was originally built in England in 1867 as the full-rigged ship "Carnarvon Castle". Later it was converted into a barque. It was one of the first iron made Clippers and had an old rigging with bowsprit and long jib boom. The video shows the remote control, planning of the operations and shifting of sails. The ropes with all sheets, braces and blocks is modelled as original as possible. The modelship shall be able to perform the sailing manoeuvres such as wearing, tacking and heaving in the same way as the original. The video provides tipps and tricks for RC shipmodelling of square rigged tall ships.
