@@movietheatersnacks stopping the killing game without any sacrifice was impossible, plus he was the only one who even suspected the whole thing to be a fake and a show. They were on a field of the mastermind themselves, cameras almost (love house?) everywhere. Kokichi is the type of person who doesn’t get along with people because of his internal distrust + mastermind was still unknown, if he told the truth others nobody would have believed him or the mastermind used the situation against them instantly. The only way to stop the killing game in Kokichi’s situation was by reversing the rules against the mastermind themselves, which he did by creating an unsolvable murder. A pity that Shuichi realised that too late, though the case can still be considered unsolved due to the fact that it’s impossible to know if the poison killed Kokichi before the press crushed him or not.

@@movietheatersnacks the situation with Gonta was a desperate measure on both sides. Gonta willingly agreed to kill Miu in order to stop a constant wheel of simular ‘the outside world needs me so I killed’ murders because he too saw ‘the truth of the outside world’ via the remember light. Said truth was supposed to be one of the motives that Monokuma prepared (and that Kokichi stole) for the group to crush their hope completely. Gonta wasn’t brainwashed nor forced to do it, he willingly agreed and his avatar confirms it (‘Killing game busters’ duo). On Kokichi’s side, his motivation was pretty simple and would be the same for anyone else in his shoes: a wish to survive, no matter how selfish it might be. Kokichi never once tries to make any excuses for himself nor does he try to say that he’s a good person for this. He never asks to be forgiven, open in his thoughts of being a horrible person and is obviously shaken by Gonta’s death, because he understands that it’s his fault. One of the rare people who liked him and accepted him died because of his plan. After that he chooses to be the one who dies instantly, giving the antidote to Kaito and creating the case. Kokichi is not a good person, nor is he a bad one. He’s a complicated character who committed sins for the ‘greater good’ and knows that he’s a horrible human being, never trying to say otherwise.

@@movietheatersnacks (unfortunately using the light to get Gonta to kill Miu was his only reliable option. Killing her wasn't done only to save his own life, but also to save everyone else from a failed trial. If Miu had survived then, as is mentioned in the trial, she would've been able to lie about the vr settings as much as she wanted. She'd have full control over the situation, and thus they likely would've all voted wrong and died. Kokichi knew this and couldn't let it happen, but if he tried to tell someone then they'd think he was lying and if he simply avoided her than she'd most likely just end up targeting someone else instead. So his only remaining option was to get someone to kill Miu for him, and he knew Gonta was the only person he'd be able to convince to do it. In conclusion, everyone's lives were at stake and Kokichi had limited options. As fucked up as it was, he did what he had to do.)

They have never reconciled in their last moments. Kokichi just blackmailed Kaito in order to get his plan working. You Kokichi fangirls disgust me. He never cared for anyone except himself.

What are you even talking about, man. They worked together to make their plan to deceive the mastermind, and Kaito went along with it willingly. It's true that them reconciling was never super explicit, but they worked on their plan for chapter 5 together as a team, so Kaito must have at least tolerated Kokichi by the end. That was made pretty clear by the end of the 5th trial. @@yay29823 Because you always try to defend him, to pretend like he was some kind of misunderstood hero and not like he actually is: a sociopath who enjoyed the pain that the Killing Game caused others, but hated being controlled by the mastermind himself and therefore wanted to show the mastermind who's the boss here.
