DIECAST CARS RACING | MAIL IN TOURNAMENT | DAY 1 

A fine question--my take on it is Mattel is busy with making money hand over fist with the track sets they already produce. Retooling for open lane track is a huge capital investment on their part in an attempt to appeal to a smaller market and the shareholders might not be keen on that direction. Another question is why isn't Adventure Force/Crash Racers putting out packs of straight pieces as a standalone purchase? They already have the tooling and wouldn't that be a huge help to track builders?

Thanks for your reply, Chris. Well a mystery to me. The hobby is growing by the minute and I reckon if Mattell joined in it would grow exponentially. I think they're missing out. Keep up the great races.@@Chris_Hood

@@GodsOnlyGospelI don’t think the people who build tracks really want Mattel’s involvement. They’d figure out a way to ruin it. Besides, it gives these small businesses like Spool Heads and Slanman Customs an opportunity to cater to a specific market. I’m sure they stay pretty busy designing, creating and producing pieces for tracks all over.

Definitely made the absolute most of the studio space for this track build--no way at all to get it higher or longer! Rather fitting for the first mail-in event, I think!

It's the best set-up for this kind of stuff

I was thrilled from the beginning to see the I-Pace enter the mainline offerings and knew it would catch fire in the hobby. Some builders delete the rear spoiler and others don't, perhaps folks are still figuring out the best strategies for the car. Endcount was blazing a trail out there, _SUPER_ happy for him!!!

I don't know if the timing works out exactly, but is R-Lo's car the exact same one he sent to eP Videos? Nah, probably not, but both entries are extremely alike, LOL

They are slowed down to half speed. Full speed would just be a blur. You can always set your playback speed to 2x and see what real time looks like.

😄with basically every other host using grams for weight measurement, it *is* a little weird hearing ounces here. I got over it fairly quickly, at least until reading your comment!

113 grams max and 4 inches or less in length, l believe. Other than that I think it’s open.
