I bought a 2020 1:18th Maisto.....69 Charger RT...I added the rebel flag and 01s and crossed flags on trunk. It was a huge difference,turned out really nice.

i got a brand new factory seal same in vid 2015 autoworld for £115 only 3 days ago, i think i got lucky as it said new listing, i whipped it up , just the packaging hiding the flag is a statement, this is going to be worth a fortune in time , its proper so detailed

Funny that the car comes in a Box that claims, that it has "Opening Doors & Hood" - When in fact, on the TV-show, the General Lee's doors were deliberately welded shut, to make the car stronger, sturdier. And the model's doors are in fact not operable.
@@tryksta7247 I wasn't talking about what the model actually offers - but about what the box says, and how it contradicts the story line of the TV show.

It's a shame that the doors do not open on this $100 car. Especially considering that Auto World uses the same car mold as they do for the '69 Dodge Charger which this car basically is, and which they have released with other paintjobs and wheels for the same price, and where the doors DO open. You do get the Dukes of Hazzard livery and the antenna though, so that's cool.
On the TV-show, the General Lee's doors were deliberately welded shut to make the car sturdier and more rigid ! So it's only correct that they Shouldn't open on the miniature either !
prodromos asimakopoulos the original 1981 models were made in Taiwan and some parts of asia besides China and some 1981 model's were made in America but the originals were not made in China.
You can probably get it on Auto World site or eBay sorry I didn't mention it in the video it might be really expensive because of the rebel flag though and the controversy
Ertl's model was cheaply made. it has poor detail and overpriced for the crappy quality. I'm super glad Autoworld made a superb model of the General Lee. This also goes for the Hazzard County Police Car.
