If you're physically, and emotionally well, then You can tell your brain cells what to think. And Your brain cells can tell you what to think. Our brains are our bodies super conscious computers. Our brains cells are our emotionally electrically conductive hardwired super conscious fuse box location. We can Reprogram our own brains thoughts patterns into a new way of loving the fact that we are here to experience the full range of the totality of our moment by moment emotional experiences. We should at least try to think about trying to be consciously aware of trying to be happy all of the time. Life's too short to sabotage our own chances for happiness. Emotions are contagious.
The bible commands us to; "Love thy neighbour AS YOURSELF" Perhaps she hasn't read the bible or doesn't know this exact scripture. Also.. perhaps its not always about not wanting to be grumpy and changing it, because that still comes from a place of judgment. The judgment that feeling grumpy is bad. No, it is just what it is and instead I would suggest exploring the origins of the grumpy feeling. Why am I feeling grumpy? What are the thoughts that cause this grumpy feeling?
Command? Theres no command in love. Love gives choice. Maybe you need to analyze that in the way you advised that the person check into the grumpy feeling. Check into why God would have the need to command anyone. And what happens if we dont love.. and what is love?
