Since Lopes arrived into the ufc I became a huge fan, dude’s always looking for a finish , vicious vicious guy. I was worried how this fight would come out and man, Diego is for real contender/champ material.
Diego Lopes is probably the only Brazilian who speaks more than just Portuguese. It's crazy how good his spanish is. You can still hear that thick Portuguese accent in his Spanish though.

Lopez looked great. Excited to see his future fights. My opinion is he needs to polish up his skills before facing someone like Blessed or Illia. Dude is a beast. Had a 3 rounds war and then came with Alexa as a cornerman
i became a fan of diego when he fought the undefeated russian movsar evloev in a short notice fight and almost get the W which was also his debut fight! This man is going to be future champ
I feel Ortega went through with this to give Diego the "look" he deserves before going up to 155. Say what you will, Ortega could've ducked and Diego would've needed another 2-3 fights to get his rank up to where Ortega took it. 🤷♂️
Portuñol. No, seriously. In the frontiers of Brazil with Argentina, Paraguay and Bolivia, there are people that speak both and even mix them, so they are said to speak Portuñol. Diego right here is just speaking Spanish, but he's speaking it as a Portuguese speaker would when he knows Spanish as a language learned rather than a language he was raised speaking
