maradona was a freak on the football pitch the ball was an extension of his body. He was simply the master a magican. He could do what seemed impossible with ease. The greatest player who ever lived. RIP Deigo
Two great footballers, forever encapsulated in time in a momentous moment of football, of the celebration of the human spirit and effort. RIP to Diego Maradona
Give a break .. 1 great footballer and one tall fool men here how do you see peter as great near maradona even Peter must tell he’s grand kids he meet maradona and show photos together
this gotta be the craziest thing ever , an arab guy translating from spanish to another arab guy who in term will put it in english back to peter reid. amazing. tower of babel anyone?
I hated Maradona at the time but now I couldn't give a toss. He was the greatest who, like anyone worth their title, he did anything he could do to score. The referee and linesman failed, not Maradona.
When you're a teenager, when you're young, always try to be on the side of the rebels, those who do not follow the straight path, those who defy the rules, but when is about Diego, all who were or would be well as marginal and enigmatic, they become grandmothers puritanical hypocrites. No matter the drug, half the population takes drugs, using drugs artists win prizes every day and nobody disqualified for addicts. Always prefer to be on the side of where Diego is.I see you on that side.
Listen, listen I like to see your face Because in mexico I only see the back! hey listen, listen. He have the cigar of the mexico as well. Mexico cigar.
English people who criticise 'The Hand of God' need to wake up. If he was english and we'd won the World Cup because of him and the goal he scored with his hand then none of you would complain. None of you. It was over 20 years ago, Peter Reid gets this, and he was on the pitch that day. Get real.
Diego is epic. In an era of football where th defenders tackled him like kamikazes, Diego rised up and always ask for the ball. Never hiding. Making a the hand of god goal against England four years after the war, and five minutes after making a goal that they´ll(the english) will never make...Diego´s just epic...Making a pass with his ankle injured (ankle with the size of a cricket ball) against Brazil, through the legs of the brazilian in the 90 WC. Diego´s fantastic literature. Messi could be better...but never the same.
nico To be honest with you, The 2nd goal was perhaps a bit easier to score as England were still reeling from the handball, Still obviously an amazing goal but England rallied and nearly got it back to 2-2.
To think Peter Reid was 'footballer of the year' in either 85 or 86. And if that was the best we had then it just highlights how good Diego was. 'Reid' in that 1/4 final never got anywhere near him all game
Peter Reid is very respectable. And look at Maradona. He hides the cigar on his right arm while talking to Reid. That's being very respectful. A true legend on and off field.
I love the mutual respect between these 2. Diego was, for me, the most magic footballer to ever grace a football pitch. And i use the word "magic" deliberately because he could do the impossible. The world misses him.
Your so right , that’s been my argument for years, maradona played on pitches that were like building sites, he took a team who constantly battled relegation to god like heights and made them champions while hatchet men defenders tried to cripple him, Messi couldn’t have rose to those challenges, he’s a great footballer but Diego had superhuman abilities and charisma, he is the greatest, like Bruce Lee is to Kung fu Diego is to football .........
@@josemaccarini2240 come on, are you serious? People will always love and remember Maradona for scoring the best goal of all times, the second one. If you have doubts go and talk to anyone who knows a bit about football...
England also won their wc with the help of the ref because that winning goal against germany never crossed the line!. Nevertheless, Diego will be remembered for the second goal he scored against england in a world-cup in which he almost won it by himself!!!.
That English team was bound to win that Cup....reminds me of the Knicks....great teams for years but had an obstacle.....Jordan. England's obstacle that year....Maradona.
For me 1990 was the best english team. So much talent. We played the final against Germany without 4 key players and Maradona with a swollen ankle, so against that english team it would have been absolutely impossible for Argentina. I would have enjoyed seeing England winning that title instead of the germans.
The English always assume they are to win the tournament they are in. They lack humility and perspective still living off the faded glory of a stodgy win in 1966. They have not hit near a trophy since then and need to accept they are third rate.
El más grande lejosssssssss lejosssssssss de todos los tiempos en todo sentido . Yo aún lloro y cuando no llore al verlo . Nunca en mí vida vi semejante deportista
It's nice to see that most English players forgave to Maradona what he did, I mean on goal scored by hand. Peter Ried probably in most cases looked at Maradona's back, but on 0:20 is Terry Butcher, not him.
Historical 2 people and historical moment sadly never to be repeated between the 2. Very nice to see and sporting .Great scouser unfortunately a blue lol
"When he had finished, I went over to speak to him through an interpreter and I went to bite his hand. Some people got the wrong end of the stick, suggesting I was kissing his hand as an act of forgiveness, but I was actually pretending to take a chunk out of it. It was amicable, but at least I had made my point after all those years." Peter 'hardman' Reid
Both Scotland and Northern Ireland qualified for Mexico '86 and were knocked out in the 1st round. Wales didn't qualify. Maradona played against England, not the others in 1986.
They exchanged more Hugs than newly weds....That's the mutual respect Maradona gave and got...The Englishmen are his greatest fans no doubt they go searching for him when he is around .....Just to touch and see the ' Hand ' that did them in or rather out of Mexico 86.
i watched that game as a kid , i always blamed peter reid for jogging and not tackling diego near the centre of the pitch before scoring that super second goal....but its good they can meet up and laugh about it because some players like terry butcher are still bitter towards diego.
Viva Diego Ahhhhhh!!!!! Si quieren le damos una 👏
