Height doesn't really matter, but your shoe size does. If you're a beginner, get a larger wheelbase of around 26". It will be easier to handle. A lot of boards have multiple wheelbase options, so you can fine-tune it for your liking.

Longer boards aren't going anywhere. You need a lot of experience to ride shorter boards and narrow trucks like this one. Boards like this are for pro riders doing competitive racing. For most people a longer board with 24"-26" wheelbase will suffice. They are more fun.
