I would love to hear a straight acoustic bluegrass version of this. I still like this cover though. The banjo and fiddle are good on this cover. Dierks Bentley does a great job on the vocals, even though he changed up the lyrics a little bit.
As much as I love all of "your" songs, I was there on Saturday and this totally floored me. Such a great, great cover and I can only say I wish it were on iTunes or someplace to download! Thanks for coming out and bringing a little bit of home to those of us stationed "across the pond"!
The country people of America...they represent the last dying remnants of America's conscience and dignity. Their society is already so fallen from the inside out, their people lack any sense of higher meaning and purpose, and they have embraced the nihilistic culture of death. But perhaps there is yet hope for healing and renewal....perhaps. :(
hey brother is from avicii album true! and he is music producer and he featured Dan for hey brother song! Nd as a avicii is a DJ and he is from edm I think u don't know that in EDM song belongs to music producer or dj! bcoz it's their music and this song happened only bcoz of avicii that's why it's avicii!
have u heard mark Ronson featuring Bruno Mars uptown funk! didn't u realise that it's Ronson featuring Bruno?? bcoz uptown funk song belongs to Ronson ! he created music ! and then he featured bruno
Oh Mylanta!!!! Dear Lord, please please PLEASE let DB do a bluegrass tour. He MUST include this cover, too. Forget all of his cheesy radio stuff, though. IN LOVE.
Love Dierks. but the guitarist, who was “back up singer” / basically lead singer during the harder parts, deserves SO much credit! They sounded awesome together
How about you move to the UK and play every night?! You were awesome at C2C, come back soon please (and bring Luke Bryan and Miranda Lambert with you! 😉)
Wow - this is an extremely butchered version of a song by the late great Tim Bergling, known professionally as “Avicii.” His version - the ORIGINAL - is a spectacular blend of country and EDM (electronic dance music). Not this lousy version, toned down for country fans because they didn’t think country fans could handle the original. Do yourself a huge favor and check out Avicii’s ORIGINAL, gorgeous version here on RU-vid.
Everyone's who's hating needs to stfu like right now. There is no one in this world who is perfect at singing especially live. You might hear someone autotuned on iTunes but do you know how hard and difficult it is to sing live? And how different it is? If you heard this guy autotuned you'd probably think he was perfect. Same with Katy perry or someone. Autotuned, they sound great but live ehh not so much. So considering this guy is singing LIVE, he is a FANTASTIC singer with an amazing voice.
Those of you commenting on which version you like better, stop and remember that Dierks chose to do this song because he obviously appreciated it enough to put his own country twist on it. Check out Igor Presnyakov, his version of this song is absolutely stunning as well.
This is so much better with real instruments, the original is good but I just don't care for the "dance club" parts. With I could find this version to down load.
i need this proper song in country genre.. dont get me wrong.. i love late avicii.. i just need relaxing musics with good lyrics nowadays.. i just cant stand music todays.. its just too suck to my like
I like the original but I take it for what it's worth... it's a cover... it's not for comparison, or an attempt to "do it better"... it's for entertainment.
i think is a very good cover... this is not an insult on anything. many techno songs are based in another songs (reprisse) and no one critice that point. i like how it sound, they defend the song very good
all of you who say that it is flat or it isn't as good listen to the original without dan taminski holding it all together with his voice I would be willing to bet that avicci sounds a lot dif live performing this song
I don’t mind ether version but y do u hav to repeat verses at the beginning of the song ,other than dat not bad but I still lik the original version by a little bit more than dis
Brittany Evanovich Avicii actually wrote Hey Brother's musical arrangement, and sought out Dan Tyminski for the vocals. Avicii has stated that he wants to broaden his horizons, and going straight past country to bluegrass is a good way to do it. Avicii did the same thing with Aloe Blacc for Wake Me Up.
i was there that day, it sounded SO much heavier, louder, fuller and generally better live, they've messed with the audio for this recording for some reason. sadly!
