Diesel Engine `Petter` - Will it run on used Engine Oil 

In late 80s i drove a dumper truck with these in em simple rugged engines. 😊

Great video. You could see the white smoke when the oil ran out. It would be good to filter the oil and have a pump and injector for oil and spare for diesel just because of possible wear. Pumping oil would work with a worn pump because so thick. Injector didn't really spray the oil so makes me think it doesnt need to be sprayed to work so if it wears over time shouldn't be an issue. What would be interesting is comparing the hp of the engine on diesel vs oil. Cooking oil is another oil many people use.

great idea , i shall be running my fumper and my tractor on waste oild mixed with diesel as they tend to run better , also thinking of making a big alternator on my dumper to charge the house batteries instead of a generator

A centrifuge would remove much of the carbon -there's a video on here of a guy cleaning oil with one. Great vid by the way.

Very interesting. As mentioned the carbon deposits in the oil will eventually grind the fuel pump system. Oil can be cleaned but it's such a process it negates the point of this. I wonder however if an additive could added to dilute the carbon a little. All good fun. Thanks for sharing.

That will knacker the injector pump in no time!!! You need to think, there are very fine particles of carbon going into that injector pump where there is near zero tolerance for any foreign body!
