You have a front row seat on Engine 2011 and 1546. Come with me as I ride in the cab and ask the engineer what all the gauges and levers are for. Ride started in Jim Thope, Pennsylvania and lasted 75 minutes. At some points, I remain silent so you can listen to the powerful engines as we roll down the track.

Very nice ride! I always like to see the old locomotives and train cars still running instead of being scrapped. I enjoyed hearing the engineer's explanation of the controls. It was cool to see that old signal tower! I wish (and hope) it gets restored some time. Thank you for sharing this awesome trip!

That is really cool! You barely reached the first step, lol. He was really nice. Locomotives are so impressive and well needed today, haul all that tonage on 1 gallon of diesel...oof. Oh, that ruin is still there! Looks like they cleaned it up a bit. I took of pic of that years ago and it had a tree growing out of it. Interesting stories those guys have. Looked like a great day for you and your friend!
