All you have to do is place the gear into neutral when you stop and you'll get a better score lol

It looks like quite a few content creators have started to jump onto the game. This is certainly a good thing. The game is starting to show real promise. Maybe one day it'll be a fully fledged train simulator.

Great to see the route worked for you - There seem to be a couple of issues with it at the moment, the random crashing issue that I mentioned previously and sometimes some of the custom models don't seem to load, most notably on runs between Lambourn and Newbury sometimes none of Newbury Station will load in. Lapioware is looking at the causes of it & will update the game's beta branch one the cause is found & fixed. In the meantime, I'm going to be adding some more services to the timetable, mainly services that involve coupling to other consists - which is something that wasn't working until a recent patch (I think you played a service on Harbord Valley recently that involved rescuing a broken train, but the broken train didn't spawn in - that was the issue that should have been fixed on the game's beta branch)

The route and session worked pretty well. The only thing I noticed when editing (not playing) was the framerate. I record at 30fps so videos aren't amazingly smooth but I did notice whilst editing it wasn't quite as smooth as on some other older routes. I think this should be fixable by changing some game settings which I'll do before playing it again. I remember playing that session yes. I didn't know what to expect but was quite confused why I went to a location and then back again for no apparent reason. I didn't know there was meant to be a loco there but it obviously makes sense. And if what caused that is now fixed it does open up some new kinds of sessions. But be careful I have played a few sessions that try to include reversing or coupling and they have never quite felt right. I've always ended up feeling a little confused at what the session wants me to do. Anyway... hopefully the issue will able to be fixed quickly and look forward to see what you do with the new sessions

​@@bluewizard The scenery is probably more dense than in the vanilla routes, so that may be a factor to the performance, I tend to get 55-60fps on max graphics. Lapioware has mentioned in the past that the loading of custom models isn't as optimised as it could be - it's lots better now than when the route was in development, but there might still be a few small stutters when nearing Welford as the game loads all the custom models at the RAF base. I've published the new services now, the ones with coupling & reversing are marked with an asterisk (*) - unfortunately we can't customise when the 'message from signaller' pop-ups appear or what they say, so communicating to the player what to do isn't the easiest at the moment, hopefully a future update could add some sort of instruction dialogue. For now it's probably best to watch the AI run the service if you get stuck (you can press 'esc -> driving settings -> watch' while running the service and the AI will take over the train, once you're ready to take back control you can go back into driving settings and hit 'drive' again) Some of the more complicated new services won't work in the release version of the game yet, they'll output an 'unable to find a path' error if you try to drive them. Putting the game in the 'testing' beta branch on steam will fix them, though I imagine Lapioware will update the release version of the game soon anyway.

I found the new sessions. For some reason they didn't show until I removed the route and re-subscribed/ downloaded it again. I'm gonna try to record one now which might not go well. I was on the normal game build so changed it over to the beta but the game didn't re-download. I do remember changing over to the beta a long time ago so was a little surprised it said I wasn't running it. So who knows how this will go. Wish me luck lol

Tried the "RAF welford Shunting" session. Starts ok with the wagons all there. I reverse down to the points and stop. At this point I'm told to wait 10mins for the line to become available. After the 10mins the wagons all disappear. Tried a couple of times. As mentioned I placed the game into the testing branch but it didn't re-download. I might need to remove and re-install the game.

@@bluewizard hmm, it looks like the game is getting confused and thinks that the wagons you're supposed to connect to are blocking your path. If you've got the 'target speed' HUD helper enabled, it suggests that you proceed even though the message is still showing. The scenario is still completable if you ignore the message from the signaller and follow the target speed HUD helper, but yeah seems like the pop-up message is a bit broken - I'll feed that back to Lapioware. If you get stuck elsewhere I'd definitely recommend watching the AI run the service to see whether it manages to complete it or not. As a side note, Lapioware updated the base game so the beta version shouldn't be necessary for the complex scenarios to work now

You should repeat the buzzer the 'guard' gives. So when leaving the station, the guard gives you 2 on the buzzer for 'right away' and you return it before moving off. 1 on the buzzer = stop! lol I would stop further down the platform too. The signal was the wrong way round [the higher signal is for the main route and the lower one for the diverging/siding one. The game gave you the lower signal for the main route [Wetford Park - was correct for Lambourn]. lol You did quite well. Some people do get flustered when the train doesn't move. Just go through the steps slowly from the start again and it should rectify it. Get in the habit of putting it in neutral when you stop.

The buzzer twice? Didn't know that. Not driven this route before so wasn't sure how large the platforms were and difficult to gauge so certainly agree I need to stop further down next time. And yes I'm not sure why I decided not to place it into neutral at the stations in this run. I didn't in any of them. I won't say I have never left it in gear before but most of the time I do place it in neutral. I suspect it was that I wanted to look outside straight away to make sure I had stopped on the platform but who knows. There's a lot to think about when doing this one a video.

"The signal was the wrong way round" Yes this is correct, we tried to find a solution for this but currently the game assumes that the 'main' route is the straightest one, whereas in the case of Welford Park, this is not the case.
