Arnold (Gary Coleman) tries to convince Mr. Drummond (Conrad Bain) to welcome his school friend Dudley (Shavar Ross) into his house. But Mr. Drummond has another idea on how to help him.
From Season 3, Episode 19 'Room For One More' - Worried that his foster father's unemployed status will send him to another foster home, Dudley runs away and hides in Arnold's room in hopes that Arnold can convince Mr. Drummond to adopt him too.

Dudley reminds me of myself. He's a few years older than me, and during this time of the episode, I dressed like that, plus my best friend from school reminded me of Arnold and Dudley because my buddy was shorter and I was taller. We hung out like Arnold and Dudley

My favourite thing about this show is how close to real life it is. The problems they experience are the same problems normal people encounter and everybody speaks in one-liners with absolutely horrid punchlines. EXACTLY like my childhood.

It makes no sense why Arnold was friends with Dudley. Dudley ruined his first date, Came up with the idea That Arnold Intentionally got hit by the teacher When the substitute teacher was just reacting to a practical joke and accidentally hit Arnold, And Was disruptive when Arnold had to teach the class one time

Things like that are real scary. People say people beat "kids," beat women, rape women and then somebody goes to prison because the law enforcement won't listen to his side of the story. When a person like that gets turned loose, he's so "mad" that he doesn't even tell law enforcement, "I told you so!"

Lol!! This was before actors all had their teeth fixed and the implants of today that actually look horrible, changes the whole mouth area. He was a fitting father for Dudley who also had buck teeth.
