Very nice and helpful video. Thanks for that. Just one question. Isn't 3Gbps a bit of exaggerate for LTE Advanced pro?

Thanks. 3 Gbps is the peak speed that LTE Advanced Pro can potentially enable. In real life, the average speeds are significantly lower than that because the network is shared between many users at any given time and because not every operator uses the maximum configuration e.g channel bandwidth, carrier aggregation and qam etc. Then there is a device dependency also.

great video, relating to what you said at 6:40, would you not say that CDMA2000 1X is a 2G technology, whilst CDMA200 1 xEV-DO is a 3G technology?

Hello, thank you. I know what you mean. CDMA2000 is a family of technologies for 3G. You could argue that as an evolutionary step CDMA2000 1x may be more of 2.5 or 2.75G. But since the technology was developed by 3GPP2 for 3G, generally speaking, I would still say it's 3G.

@@CommsbriefLimitedOfficial Thanks, it's interesting to note that it's from 3GPP2 Family because everyone talks about 3GPP Family (GSM Route) but nobody actually credits 3GPP2 Family (cdmaOne Route).

can i make a phone call from a 5g nr stick?
@CommsbriefLimitedOfficial

I assume you mean broadband USB stick? If so, that generally comes with a data-only SIM which only allows mobile data and SMS.

So in other words gsm phones are trash!

Well, it depends on the use case. If all you want is to make calls and send texts, then low-cost GSM phones are still good enough for that. But it's always better to have phones that support the latest cellular technologies.
