good video. clear differences that i noticed: -kathiawari is shorter but more muscular build -larger nostrils, more and wide prominent jaw line, wider forehead, slightly shorter ears , shorter face length as compared to marwari
I don’t know about Indian horses, but i have ridden horses that are 30 and are in good shape, horses can live upto 40s if you take care of them, the longest living recorded was 62.
I think kathiawari horses have features which would give them edge over marwari horses in speed. E.g. marwari horses have bigger nostrils, shorter /flat neck and big hooves, which are good features for racing
I would really love english subtitles for this. I can tell some things apart from these two breeds, but sadly not much. It would really help being able to read subtitles to learn more and be able to draw and sculpt them better. (Google is not the greatest help for references or clear conformation pictures...which is why videos like this are my only hope to learn the details. :'D )
@@ankitmishra60 many consider Sindhi a sub breed of kathiawari only …. And on top u can see as it’s clearly visible the back portion means the hips are not that strong n well shaped. A horse is known or seen from his base strength I.e how strong are the Puthaa ( well shaped hips ) . I will consider Marwari the best in this coz they are really super in sprints .
This is not pure kathiyawadi horse, this is 60% kathiyawadi, because kathiyawadi horse ears are very short and cross perfectly and kathiyawadi horse's mane is very long and hair mouth is too short and his jawline is very wide,,,,, this is not pure kathiyawadi horse
I always wanted to know the difference between these two breeds. Thanks for sharing it. The thing that I have seen , almost constantly, fleas/flies are bothering the horses. Even in USA. Any reason why this happens to horses all the time ?
It’s flies, most of the time. There’s a few reasons: firstly, stable flies and horse flies are adapted to horses and other livestock and are attracted to their scent. Secondly, the flies breed in horse manure which is always present in abundance where you have horses. You can reduce the flies through various means such as manure management, fly insecticides, fly predators, fly traps, etc., and protect the horses from bites to some extent via fly masks, fly sheets, fly boots, fly sprays, and fans, but you will never completely get rid of them and a few will always find a way to bite them.
The trainer shows the difference between the two breeds. He starts with showing the length of the ears. Then he talks about their face, the length of their face, the flatness. He also talks about the height of kathiawari breed being shorter than marwari
