There are some primers that don't dry. The problem I see with the one you have is that it states that it dries and it doesn't.hmmm interesting. as long as you have good retention you should be fine.
Many things can be a factor. If you aren't properly prepping the cuticle area then there will be lifting. I realize a lot of student were having issues with the cuticle prep. If you would like to see videos of dry manicure prep a good page to follow is @ericasata on IG.
So what is the difference between primer, base coat, and bonding agent? I’m confused. Do I need all of these things? Are they the same thing? I can’t find the answer on RU-vid.
Primer and base coat are both binding agents. Though both nail primers and base coats perform a similar function, they're different products that use different ingredients. As such, primers work for acrylics and gel nail systems but not for traditional nail polish, and vice versa
Why would someone want to dehydrate their nails in addition to alcohol and/or primer? Is it healthy to dehydrate your nails?Seems like the would become brittle.
Hey love a dehydrator is basically alcohol. To prevent lifting this step is helpful because it removes any oil on the nail. Oils on the nail equals lifting of any enhancement.
It depends on the type of primer you have. Most primers air dry others leave a sticky residue so it will never dry. It's best to look at the primers instructions.
It’s weird because when I include primer in my routine my pressons don’t last but when I just file them and use alcohol and nail dehydrator they last wayyyyy longer
I would say yes you can. I have done it and lots of other people have done it as well. Primer is important because as she said it helps with lifting and it also help your nails last so much longer. Primer helps with what ever you about to put on your nails. Hoped you found the answers you where looking for!
Yes, I personally like using the dehydrator incase the client touched anything in the process and transferred any oils on to the nail. Oil equals lifting =).
Are dehydrator and primer necessary for builder gel? I’m just starting with gel extensions using forms but i was planning to apply the gel without any prep.
