What a tiny little fur ball. It is so hard to tell these critters apart. One of my babies had a mohawk, then as it got older the hair evened out. Oh my gosh I have this apple tree and every year I wait for it to ripen. Then one day I go out & every apple is gone! So finally one year I see a squirrel jump onto the fence, run across to the corner with the apple tree, grab a huge apple in his mouth, and run back down the fence with it! Those darn squirrels pick them all right as the ripen! Ever since, I just let the squirrels have them. 😆

We love to feed the various birds that visit our little pond. Part of what we put out for them are 8" x 8" seed cakes in wire holders. One year we were missing a seed cake and feeder. We bought a new one, low and behold we saw a grey squirrel take it off the hanger, and it dragged the whole thing away. We laughed our you know whats off.
Love the picnic table. We have a saying in Denmark: " like the raisin at the sausage end" The best comes last and also meant as a endeering saying, about the last and smallest child. So Raisin would be a nice name.
Yes they are very lucky....they can ruin a building foundation especially on old farms considering the age. Our farm house is over 100 years old. Over the years with different owners of this land many have been shot for just that reason no doubt. So yes this little family is quite fortunate. We have a family of 3 little ones ourselves here. And they are just as adorable to watch...foraging the farmland...and they get treats as well....apples...tomatoes..carrots....cranberries.cauliflower, broccoli, walnuts....So yes they are spoiled. I do the same for the deer
@@christinanavarre8389 That's so kind Christina! Technically, they are rodents and quite destructive but, they're just so darn cute! I used to have one as a pet. It didn't work out too well however..he chewed through the walls of my apartment! I bought him from a pet store, like an idiot, and he was absolutely wild! So I surrendered him to a wildlife sanctuary. Lesson learned!🤷
Kelli Couch Good to hear that. You were kind to give baby to a sanctuary. NOT release in wild. After being domesticated animals cannot survive on their own. Wish more people used common sense like you did.
I put corn out that I get at Lowe’s and I just put a couple ears out there that are ready to go and they’re always gone later so they take them away. Squirrels are pretty determined
Emeraldmeg31 they can also carry heavy pears. My parents have 2 pear trees and it’s so funny watching them lug the pears off to their hideouts. One of the pears must have been a little too heavy because I seen it fall from him after he got it half way up a tree.

Someone a while ago suggested Nibblets . He/she really loves her corn 🌽on the cob so it seems to fit pretty well. Wow that squirrel 🐿running off with apple🍎 I’ve never seen a squirrel do that!
Maureen Russell Every year I wait for my green apples to ripen, and every year they all disappear before I can pick them. So one year early in the morning I see a squirrel jump on the fence, run across to the tree, jump in the tree, pick an apple, jump back on the fence and across the yard. Now I know where all my apples go! 🐿
Maureen Rocha Wow that’s crazy . We have lots of squirrels in our back yard and lots of fruit trees but I’ve never seen of if the little guys take off with an apple. They all climb my bird feeders and steal the seeds but so far I haven’t caught them with an apple. They’re sneaky suckers, lol
Maureen Russell This went on for a few years, wondering if a neighbor or the gardener might be taking them. I thought “well they probably needed them more than I do.” The squirrels are sneaky & do it early in the morning!

That baby is so small & cute. Kind of like a hamster. Does that squirrel live with them? The squirrels in my neighborhood in Manhattan won't eat peanuts. They prefer walnuts & almonds. Though they're probably really hungry now since people haven't been coming outside to feed them since we had to shelter in place. Maybe now they would cave & eat peanuts.
