Difference Between Salt Water & Chlorine Pools

Both salt and traditional pools utilize chlorine to protect the water (and bathers) from bacteria, parasites and organic debris within the water. With a chlorine pool you add the chlorine product to the water. With a salt chlorine pool you add salt to around 3000 parts per million (on average) and then generate your own chlorine with an electrolysis cell.
