For the second - about the time required to become accustomed to a new habit. So "get used to" is the correct phrase. Third, it doesn't talk about the transition period; it is still true in the present, so the phrase 'be+used to' is correct. Sentence: He is used to the cold weather in Canada because he lived in Russia.
