Portfolio returns shown on the ETMONEY app are calculated on an XIRR basis 👍 .. and hence reflects the accurate returns on your mutual fund portfolio. Here's a blog we wrote on XIRR vs CAGR vs Absolute Returns : www.etmoney.com/blog/understanding-your-mutual-fund-returns-a-peek-into-cagr-xirr-and-absolute-returns/
Suppose if I invest in June 2021, then till June 2022 it is an year right. Or is it only till that financial year completion? How will my returns be calculated?
Loved the lucid yet on-point presentation by the gentleman! This is a classic example of hitting the nail on its head. Keep up the good work, ET Money ! Been associated recently; hope to stay connected for long.
How to check XIRR, CAGR and Absolute returns on ETMONEY scheme pages? 1. Try any page, say : www.etmoney.com/mutual-funds/icici-prudential-nifty-index-fund-growth/1088 2. Please go to the section where it says "Investment Returns Calculator". The default calculator is in SIP mode because that how most investors on our platform invest. So what you see is on an XIRR basis. 3. Within that box, you'll see a drop down arrow pointing down where it says Annualized. Tap on that and you'll see the "Absolute" option. That gives us the absolute returns. 4. The last element is CAGR. For this, within the same box, change from "Monthly SIP" to "Lumpsum". That will give the CAGR. Hope this helps.
You are doing great work, ET money. The guys explains so clearly. The topics are so good. This definately builds trust among the audience. Keep doing these YT videos!!! ❤️

Simple but clear and lucid explanation. Everything about this video is really good. From the presenter to the music, graphics and examples used. Kudos to everyone involved!
Shouldn't Vedant's ABSOLUTE return be (151000- 100000)/100000 * 100 ? And if we divide this by 5, what we get is Annualised return..? Sir, pls clarify.
I am a teacher in a school and need a video on Traditional investment and new investment comparison. Is it possible? Please let me know. I am an ET money app user and also want to give a live demo of how to invest in a mutual fund and share market with the help of collaboration with ET Money. Is it possible?
Hello ET money, I am associated with ET money from last few days. It is very easy to invest and it is hassle free compared to other platforms. I really appreciate your work and the way everything is explained in every video. I have also made my wife’s portfolio for investments. Good job guys. good luck to you.
I believe this video is for the whole of India and if you can talk in English it would be very helpful for other non-hindi people as well. Do consider doing videos in english so that it reaches more crowd
Sir Very good information I have been investing since 3 year through sip and I am always at puzzle to calculate cagr but now I am clear that to calculate sip return u have to calculate xirr not cagr
I would recommend to choose LIC policies or Money back scheme by different insurer to explain xirr so that people would come to know the truth about return of all those schemes.
LIC policies i guess aren't meant for the such return but financial backup in case of a crisis. Very seldom, they advertise the schemes are as an investment for greater return. Anybody doing such as , is wrong
SIr, Please explain how one can calculate XIRR for one of the monthly scheme in SIP from the list of details maintained in google sheet for all investments & filtered to get that scheme detail.
