I really enjoyed your video! I am 70 yrs old and wasn't certain the difference between English peas and Sugar Snap pea's. I also like your teaching me how to say the words in Chinese. I love learning new things. It might have been nice on a quick instruction n how to put these fresh peas up. Like do I blanch them after picking? Good for freezing or canning? That sort of things. But your video is outstanding! Thank you!
I'm very glad that you learn smth today! It's never too late to learn new informations! I love the attitude! very proud of you~ So this was one of my first compare video so my script structure still got a lot to improve by then, thanks for letting me know what you'd like to learn next time, i'll try my best to include as much as I can in the next one, thanks for the kind comment:) don't forget to subscribe! ♥
@@ericayeahtw: I DID subscribe....THANK YOU! Since I retired....I have taken up gardening. That is the only reason I was hoping to find out how to put them up. Keep improving! You're doing great! I love the history of the pea too!
This video was amazing! You are well spoken and straight to the point. I can't believe you only have 1k subscribers, you're going to be famous one day. 😍
Thank you so much! this comment made my day!!! I appreciate your complement♥I'll keep creating new content that's helpful for you~ I'm preparing a new same same but different video on different types of sugar next~ so stay tune!!!
Thank you for demonstrating how to prepare snow peas in particular. I just cleaned 3 oz as you showed and it was easier than I thought. I will know if I removed enough of the fibrous part when I make my chicken stir fry tonight. Wish me luck!!!
Thanks for watching and the sweet comment! How did the dinner goes? I'm glad that my video helps you in the kitchen~ I always clean my snow peas in the living room watching tv before cooking~ it's kind of relaxing to me even haha, try to enjoy it next time~
@@ericayeahtw My chicken chop suey came out great and the snow peas had no fibrous strings at all. I guess I was a good student - and you were an amazing teacher. I was so happy with the result!!! Thanks again!!! Tonight I'm making char siu pork. I hope it comes out good too - though my pork may be a little leaner than it should be.
My pleasure! I'm glad you enjoy my content and yes, that's mandarin, we speak it in Taiwan and China. Cantonese is only used in Hong kong and its very difficult I heard, even for a Mandarin speaker, I don't understand them at all😅
They are different, mangetout/snow pea will not swallow up like that, it need to be harvest while it’s flat and ripe, if left on the vine it will rot. And snow pea doesn’t taste good raw in my opinion😅
Thanks for watching! If you like snow peas, check out this new snow pea salad recipe! so far my favorite way of making now peas ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-xS9V1vlNtDo.html
ahhh interesting! I'll have to try indian peas sometimes! wonder if its a different species or just different soil and agriculture make it taste different?
Snow peas are delicious…. edamame is from the devil. I got some from the local market this past summer and they were absolutely horrible. I don’t care how they’re prepared they SUCK!
lmao, I totally see where you come from! I won't force you lol you remind me of my mom when I was young, telling me to eat egg plant and I said no, and she keep saying" but it taste good this way" and I'm like " NOOO!!! I'm not gonna get full this time!" lmao. all good memories Jokes aside tho, I do find edamame in the US "pre-peeled" in freezer bag very weird, Chinese always eat the edamame straight from the pods and the seasoning is on the pod, only when you suck on it the flavor is perfect, so I'll agree I don't like "pre-peeled" edamame, it tastes different.
