//====instance of a class : a copy of the class that is initialized by by using the new keyword which has its own memory and never shared with another instances //========reference of a class : a copy of the class that is initialized by using an existing instance and reference of a class will not have any memory allocation , they will be sharing the same instance that assigned for initializing the variable . //=======reference of a class can be called as a pointer to the instance and every modification we perform on the members using instance reflects when we access those members through reference and vise versa

Hari krishna chintha variable is a kind of container that hold values just take a analogy like if you are going to buy milk there must be in container ex in plastic packet or glass u should keep that substance in one container same like to hold the values in memory of computer we need variable again there are categorization which variable hold which value so for numbers int is there for decimal value float is there like that hope it help

In the examples Sir showed in this video, yes there isn't much use case for reference, you can almost always use instance alone to achieve your work. However, reference will come in handy when you're working with Inheritance and Polymorphism concepts.
