Thanks for watching the two-part series! Was fun for us to see the differences but as always this is just ONE person's opinion based on ONE person's experience ❤annnd Don't forget to check out our children's book "My Santa, Your Santa" geni.us/MySantaYourSanta
Every country and culture always has a some differences especially when it comes to relationships, but also agree it’s good to take it with a grain of salt as this was my experience only 😊
It sure is!! My best friend is a guy and we talk regularly on FaceTime now that I’m overseas. For me it has been so strange living in America and not having any male friends because now that I’m married it is seen as inappropriate, which is frustrating because I’ve grown up my whole life being good friends with guys and girls
@@mixed_and_nerdy Thank you for the answer! I am fine with my spouse having female friends, but ‘how’ friendly might be more the question. Any insight?
This is so interesting to me. I never imagined so many differences between American and Australian men! Also surprising to that the 2 story thing is considered loaded in America too-I always thought it was just us immigrants being fascinated with the stairs!
@@mixed_and_nerdy can confirm it's a nightmare. We spent close to 2 years looking for a 1 story home (that's what I grew up in and loved) and finally settled on a 2 story because there were just NO 1 story homes for sale at all in our area. Well...everything I thought I'd dislike about it, I do. There's a load of laundry sitting upstairs that I just do not have the energy to drag Stella upstairs for right now, for example...
2:25 - He answered his own question by asking...no one was thinking it. I even answered 'American' because he asked...therefore he cares more...sorry im high
This is pretty spot on. I spent six months in the US when I was 23 , visiting my sister who had moved there for college. From a guys perspective, The American women I met were very conservative in almost every aspect of life, and I'm talking about young college women too. To be honest, I had a lot of interest from these college birds (probably the accent), It created a real strange jealousy amongst the guys in the friend circle, I even had some of the guys give me a stern lecture on "hurting the girls feelings", in Australia I would have been getting high fives and encouragement, you know, like bloke code, there isn't a bloke code, they were dibber dobbers. They all seemed pretty concerned about getting injured a lot too, for example- I was trying to show the guys how to play Australian footy, Even a couple of American Footballer mates, they were terrified to get into it properly, and I wasn't being silly or anything, just honestly trying to get them to tackle and mark the ball in a pack. Personally think its because we take Medicare for granted, me and my brothers and mates have always been pretty reckless with sports or around the water ( beach and rivers), dirt bikes or whatever, I now think its because we don't have to worry about medical expenses, we have all broken a bone of some sort back home. I would definitely say that American men are more sensitive, In Australia we rib each other constantly (give shit) , in a playful way. But Americans get reaaaally offended. Even me saying things like "cheers big ears" with a beer is offensive, or calling someone a fat c#@t ( to an actual fatty! ) is offensive. Oh, and getting naked is another lesson I learned the hard way, getting drunk in Australia- someone is gonna get naked eventually and run through a main street or over a footy oval......in America its basically like I committed a war crime. The police (campus police too) are soooo serious over there, in Australia you can have a laugh with a cop and speak to them in colloquial language, not in the US, oh no haha. But, compared to Australian women, the American women I "dated" came off as very clingy. They wanted to basically make everything official straight away, they intensely stare at you in bed and talk about how they feel constantly, it was kind of scary -as Australian women are up for a root and that's it, Aussie women seem more in control of their sexuality. I had back packed around Asia before and most European and even Canadian birds were all up for a bit of fun, no commitment. But its very different over in the US, even banter seems PG rated, they are all very polite and well mannered I suppose, but very serious people who plan and talk and think about grades and careers and the future too much . Oh, and even though I'm just a boofhead sparkie with only a year ten pass, I knew more general facts about historical events and geography than these college students!! even my mates back home know this shit, that includes my mate Jak, who has a dick tattooed on his neck, go figure . Well, that's my rant, I had a great time over there though.
Americans are raised to expect the whole disney candle light dinner with violins. You're not going to get that from an Australian man. If anything you have to earn that.
The Australian man will take care of a woman 10 Times better that any American or other man of any other country . We also have something called money to do life with too.
Idk about that bud 😅 when shit breaks out we have weapons and the second amendment... To protect our family and loved ones but then again we'll be here as a country to help you out 🫡
