North American Rescue makes several different variations of the ETD pressure dressing but it's not always clear what the differences are. We Hope to clear that up and show several pressure dressing variations in this video along with two other styles of pressure dressings on the market at the end of the video.
You can purchase ETD Pressure Dressings from our website here: sixechosystems.com/product/na...

Great comparison, when I was in the Army, I couldn't really see how a vacuumed sealed pressure dressing could expire....unless I was the one with the contract with the military. Really great video on what is available out there for medical pressure bandages.

Thanks. Yeah, I do think companies trying to make extra money and be able to sell more product influences the expiration dates to some degree but I also get that the packaging breaks down over time and the stuff inside is no longer clean and sterile. So I prefer equipment without the date but then I just check to make sure its still in tact and good to go.

Nice review and comparison. As far as the plastic clips, I was taught that In addition to securing, it can be slid under a layer of bandage and twisted similar to a windlass to help increase pressure.

I like the h+h mini. You must know: it's not only smaller in size but also smaller in length. More bandage needs more space. My smallest Kit contains 1 H+H mini compression dressing 1 plain packing gauze 1 SWAT-T 1 4by4 Bandaids Gloves rescue blanket I like the Velcro on the ETD and the OLAES. Not only it prevents the bandage from unrolling, it also helps to maintain pressure on the wound.

Yes, the ETD is a good bandage and I agree on the usefulness of the Velcro.

Thanks for the comparison. I'm in the process of building / rebuilding all my first aid and trauma kits for home, off road / camping, & range. Didn't realize the "responder" has no exp date even thought both products are sealed. Hopefully I'll never have to use them but its not about "if", but more about "when". Thanks for posting!

Absolutely! There are so many different variations out there. It’s hard to keep track of what is what. And most of the websites don’t do a good job of explaining exactly what each one looks like when you open the package. Glad this video was helpful.

For a police officer like myself, the HH is the best one. We're already out of room trying to carry stuff, so most officers started putting their stuff on the small of their back. By the time you got gauze, chest cheal, naso it gets pretty thick and makes it very uncomftrable to sit in the car. the HH is so small and flat it barely adds more thickness. I figured for most situations in policing, you are just trying to get to the ambulance or hospital by peers to get wrapped up better or fixed. I'm not in a combat zone so the small size really helps. 4" is good enough for a stab or gunshot would. I highly suggest law enforcement with limited space look at this option.
@SixEcho
@SixEcho Год назад
It certainly is the easiest to carry. It just doesn’t offer much to work with if bandaging a larger person.

The issue of expiration dates never occurred to me when I was building a personal inventory for home/vehicle use. I can see how this is an issue for government agencies, hospitals, clinics…but is it critical for the individual? For myself, checking the package seal is something that’s now on the checklist. Great topic. Thanks 👍🇺🇸
@SixEcho
@SixEcho Год назад
Thanks for the feedback. Yeah, exp dates can be a liability issue for professional services. Not as much of an issue for people that want to have some on hand for personal emergencies. Making sure the packages are in tact is the most important aspect.

The expiration date is really only for the external packaging. Basicly it guarantees the packaging will stay vacuum sealed hence sterile until the printed date, unless damaged. Now if it had an integrated hemostatic agent in it like the Oleas hemostatic bandage then yes, it would expire.

I don't see anyone on a scene telling the person who is bleeding, I'm sorry. I 2as going to put this one u, but I see it's expired. Person that's bleeding isn't going to care. Yes, we should remember to check but sometimes as humans we forget. So let's figure out why.they have a date and see if they'll fix it. Greta video as always. Also the sizing one could mark for children.

Yeah, but if they got an infection or worse they or the family might try to sue. Sounds totally stupid but it happens. A lot.

Can you do a video comparing NAR's SPEAR and their ARS needles?

Compressed gauze is just rolled gauze but in a vacuum-packed square

TY this is very informative, NAR truly has a LOT of variants, first time I understood the difference, I've only seen the classic ETD. OLAES is something very interesting as well, it's almost like a whole medkit, has packing gauze there, some piece of plastic you can use as a seal, then a pressure/eye cup, all in one thing, you can have only this single item that can actually save someone.

This is a very helpful video. I am new to a lot of this, and didn't realize there were differences in the Israeli bandage and other pressure dressings. I thought they were exactly the same, only packaged differently. Also, I am curious if you know which size is most commonly used or is most likely to be needed for most wounds?
@SixEcho
@SixEcho Год назад
Awesome! Glad it was helpful. 4” and 6” are most common. 6” is a good size if you have space for it. If space is limited then opt for 4”.

Which is a good brand for Israeli? Is Persys Medical good?
@SixEcho
@SixEcho Год назад
Yeah, PerSys should be fine along with other suppliers that specialize in producing actual trauma supplies. Just don’t buy them from a hospital supply company.

Sorry I was talking Brit. The T3 Israeli has wound packing gauze as part of it components. I carry a couple mainly for stab wounds. London is a bit like that but not used them. Just wondered if you had experience using them. Would I be better to carry separate bits. I have been thinking they might be a bit to complicated when you are under pressure trying to plug a hole.

Hear me out… I wish there is a way to purchase “expired” medical equipment (not medicine). It would be nice to train with the equipment I carry without spending the money for two kits, one training and one for use. I only really know what my current dressing looks like because of a RU-vid video. Anyway, love the video. Thank you for the comparison.
@SixEcho
@SixEcho Год назад
Totally get it. But packing gauze is $4 new and the ETD is $4.10 on our website. So for less than $10 you have a basic wound packing training setup.

six ehoe read this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! this is the truth the problem with buying from yall or any other company is that you charge more for delivery than the products worth, not every body wants or can't afford loads of products at the same time and thats if you even offer free shipping after a certain amonut which i don't see if i were to buy just one product, i have to pay a shit load for delivery here's an example: ( i went to your on line store - and put Mini Module for $12.00 in cart with shipping and tax it went to $21.17 thats almost twice the price) not to mention having to wait a week for delivery does that seem fair to your customers amazon sells the same product at same price - minus the shipping cost if your prime. ( PS: i'm prime for many reasons ) so in short you's should really review your shipping costs if you want more customers and until then i'll be buying for amazon 👎👎👎👎👎
@SixEcho
@SixEcho Год назад
Our products are not available on Amazon so you would have to buy them direct from us if you wanted those specific products. But yes, Amazon has cheaper shipping than we do. But we don’t charge an annual subscription and when you buy from us you are supporting a US patriot and a small family business. The product sales to our customers allow us to continue to put out free RU-vid videos and information to the public. If you can’t pay $8 for shipping then you can shop somewhere else. It’s a free county. For those that choose to support our small business and help fund these RU-vid videos, thank you!

Amazon doesn't sell any of these. 3rd party sellers on Amazon do, and Amazon is garbage, so that's who you are supporting.
