Victors shack or Nipton till I end up in big Mt. I have tried them all & still can't make up mind. Deep down I don't want to be stuck to any place. Even in fallout 3 I put my loot in the river boat landing for point look out as I'd rather be tied to a boat then a single place. Give wheels to store my stuff in & I'd be happy.

Its one of the worst player house if you like hoarding stuff, The Sink was best for it cus you just only need 2 loading screens one for fast travel other one is door. Victor's shack is not bad too but when you fast travel to Goodsprings its a little bit away from spawn point and if you have too much weight on it walking there is sometimes pain, same with Novac house too.

@@themanwhosoldtheworld0 I much prefer the Novac motel room, the sink is good and all but I have to spend a lot of my time for it to become a player home. By the time I do OWB i'd already have bajillions worth of junk in my storage that im too lazy to grab all and put it in the sink lol

She’s supposed to be dead, but after three days she will respawn alive. It’s a bug in the game that brings her back alive.

@@SkullpunkArt I think you are getting confused with the powder gangers you rescue from the legion. Boxcars at Nipton gives you the quest. The only crucified NPC you can interact with I believe in the whole game is anders at cottonwoodcove. By interact I mean you can untie him

No an in game text message shows on screen saying something along the lines off the person tied up here is inches away from death, taking them down will only painfully and slowly kill them, taking them out fast would be merciful. I'll not say the proper quote of the text and let you experience that for yourself. Have you played any of the other Fallouts? New Vegas is straight up my favourite, it made me play and beat the originals after like 20 years haha

I spent hours hauling around gear until i got to Novac. Now i will start using Victors shack on my new play throughs.

Never have I ever once even half-*imagined* using poor old Victor's Shack!!! Just feels kinda not quite right to me 😢 Besides, I just squat all of my stuff into Doc Mitchell's house, anyway- more convenience, less lonely🎉

I used the camper shell by the store. Two boxes for loot, mattress for sleep. Eventually, I moved into Novac, though.

I didn't know about it for a long time but when I did learn about Victor's shack, it's became my main home.

Victor's too big to even fit thru the door. That's clearly a shack built for the courier

They dont drill at 2am, stomp around upstairs or steal your mail so what more could you want?

You should try harper's shack if you wsnt some great neighbors

I have always used the sink every since the DLC came out was just so much easier to load up on loot and then pull out the teleporter gun and bam right there walk in and sell what I didn’t want and store the rest hit the bed get a stat boost and off again

The sink doesn't allow entrance to ED-E so it's an instant no for me

@@CadillacEulogy Pretty much, yeah. The engine handles loose objects better than Skyrim and Fallout 4, so dropping an object and placing it carefully on a shelf means it will stay there until you move it. A lot of buildings also have safe storage (inventories that don't respawn) so you can use them to store a bunch of weapons, armour, misc. items, or whatever else.

@@KingCooper0755 We are talking about incidental/unofficial homes. So places on the map that you can turn into a home. In Fallout 3 there is a much larger pool of locations that are suitable, whereas the choices are much more limited in NV. There are only 2 official homes you can use in base F3. Base NV on the other hand has 6.

There’s the Talon Company outpost, the ghoul Outpost outside Greyditch, Gallo the Ghoul’s den in the sewer’s, the 3-4 abandoned homes in Greyditch and the small camp under the bridge next to the super duper mart. All of these are in the same general vicinity slightly east of Megaton on the map.

I actually took the big move from novac to presidential when i saw all the companions racking up there. Took me two and a half trips but I’d say it was worth it. Instead of 1 vault and 1 footlocker and 1 dresser i have multiple lockers for different weapons

Yeah, but you have to leave and wait for the vender to restock caps. I, myself, would just go back to Novac, rest, eat, drink, hit up the legion stash, and head back to the sink and sell them off one at a time, I had six left when I beat the game, 7 with the gold bar left in the novac room safe.

Sarah gives you a free room if you do her unmarked quest to bring her vault suits. You can also sleep with her if you pass speech checks.

Every storage in Fallout New Vegas is safe storage, there's very few if not none that resets

@@ewan_mclean This is why I love this game too, everytime I learn new things, like you can just climb monorail without entering the Camp McCarren you just need to drop 1 or 2 clothes into ground at side wall of monorail and climb on them.

I never really used any homes until i got the Sink. I then proceeded to gather every upgrade asap and go there regularly just to chat with Muggy and Toaster.

Been using the hotel safe in novac since the first time i played…i was born in this hole and ill die in this hole.

Junk in the suitcase, comps in the table next to it, cap/chips/1 gold bar/prewar money/"flour" in the safe, dinky dino by my bedside, guns/armour/ammo/stealthboy/repair kits in the closet, food/drink/eggs/blood in the fridge, meds in the dresser, and sexy night wear in the closet right of the bed. Has always been like that for going on 14 years.

@@timwest277 Me too, although I think I prefer F3. NV seems to developed a cult like following in recent years which gets a bit annoying. NV is a great game, I love it, but I think people overhype it way to often.

Also, if you cleaned out the Sierra Madre casino and received the complementary voucher, then you get 1000 free chips every three days when you finish the dlc. It’s a very easy way to get hundreds of whatever you want from the vending machine for free.

Damn, that’s a good idea, and I thought having my room driped out with random DLC stuff was cool. Old Glory makes for a mighty fine decoration piece though.

It was a first start for me as well, until I found the sink in the old world blues. After I moved to the sink, I used Novac to store loot and items I wanted to eventually trade. The rare items and things I wanted to keep went to the sink.

Great choice, I have the Bisin Steve room as one of my safe houses … it’s the one at the end of the 2nd Floor with lighting? Best room in that place for sure. Also has big bookshelf to display your unique stuff.
