I have never heard of cowboy cut or speckle twill before. The Blues also used vinyl trim on the set they wore before the mid '90s too. Even the new alternate (which is now what they wear full time) had it in 1998 until they finally got rid of it the next year. I have no idea why they hung onto it for so long. Great video. Thanks for detailing all the different types of customization.
Nice vid! I love how you present different techniques and show the small details. Very nice! Where did you learn the term "Cowboy Cut?" I've been doing that for years and haven't ever had a name for it. For the "Granny Twill," that's actually just red tackle twill with a running stitch embroidered on it to give it a look to almost appear embroidered. It's a stitching effect as opposed to an actual fabric.
Great video buddy wanted to ask you a question if you knew the name of the same type of process they use for tackle twill where they have the sticker on the back of the tackle twill I'm in the textile business and I received from Russell sportswear when they shut down their warehouse they have a cotton version of it where it's a t-shirt fabric by any chance you know what they would call that with the sticker on it they come in layers with a sticker on the back looking for the trade name or what they call it I want to advertise it but I don't know the right terminology
Great video, thank you for the content! Do you have any insight on suppliers or customizers for the dazzle twill? I’ve asked around and it seems like this material is fairly unique. I have an authentic basketball jersey that uses sublimated dazzle twill for the numbers and player name that I would like re-customized but I haven’t had any luck with finding a place to match the material. Thank you!
Thanks for watching and for the feedback! So two options, 1. Contact customizesports.com They can sublimate dazzle twill and cut it in to the kit for you. 2. Do a search on eBay or Google for "dazzle sports material" and a few options should Pop up. You can then send the material to whoever you want to do the kits with.
Excellent question. you can have it heat pressed on without having to stitch it. If you want extra reinforcement, you got to take it to a place who does zig zag stitching. I use CSL for my customization
