Thank you very much! I see it's nothing complicated. It just saves difference from previous sample instead of saving sample itself and it allows smooth signals to have less bit depth.

How is the number of levels decreasing in DPCM, only the range of max magnitude is decreasing right, NUMBER levels are still the same?

how do we know if the Signal is increasing or decreasing?You add 0.4V for 3.1 to 3.5 and 0.4 for 3.4 to 2.9 .
