TAP pilots are known all over the world, same as company, of beeing one the best in what they do. Flying, engineiring, etc, etc. Lots of other companys use TAP as reference and to solve theyr own mechanics problems that they cant. Land in Madeira, Funchal or Machico, in this case, is something that eaven the best pilots in world hold theyr breath and swet a bit. Has a clean cheap whithout bad news since his creation in 1940.
No, they are know for flying like cowboys. You are correct, they are as you say "crazy", because they take chances and throw safety out the window. A few years ago one of there pilot's was reprimanded and almost lost his job for putting the aircraft in "an unsafe maneuver" that almost caused the plane to crash.
Look at the landing @ 1:30. He is all over the place!!! But then he plants both main gear at the same time! Everyone please REPLY... Do we think it was SKILL or FLUKE???
LO malo de aterrizar en esas condiciones con mucha velocidad es que el piloto tiene que frenar cuanto antes para que la pista no le quede corta y mas esa que no se ve tan larga...
@rugbydazz in what comes to accidents, crashes and maintenance, TAP is an air company with one of the best records in the world. Check it for yourself if you dont believe me. Having had only 1 accident in 1977 with fatalities in this airport.
they r all good landing becoz that day the weather was not good. u will think that how know, becoz the easyjet 737 was landed by me, in short i was the pilot.

@humorista ja vi o video e nao me parece nada de mais... gostava de os ver era a aterrar o airbus num porta-avioes, mas num britanico e nao num americano porque esses sao faceis e tem muito espaco...
@humorista eu falo mal de quem eu quiser!!! e eu como piloto de camioes acho o trabalho destes colegas pouco razoavel lool. e digo mais: os pilotos da tap tem de perder a mania que sao alguem, assim como os policias em portugal que tem aquela mentalidade antiga em que pensam que estao uns niveis acima dos outros (como se fossem doctores ou engenheiros) se eu "conduzi-se" uma porra desta acho que fazia bem melhor :)
os da TAP sao mesmo maus, pior so o gajo que ta a filmar. ate os da easyjet que recebem ordenados "low-cost" fazem melhores figura.. e depois so andam bem em greves armados em expertos
