The sun jar is such a lovely idea 💛☀️ It reminds me of a poem by Ellis Nightingale: THERE'S A GIRL WHO SELLS SUNLIGHT There's a girl who sells sunlight to ward off the gloom; To brighten the dark nights till again flowers bloom. There's a girl who sells sunlight at the old market square. She has amber in her eyes and flames in her hair. There's a girl who sells sunlight she stole from the day. But the sun doesn't mind it, at least that's what they say. There's a girl who sells sunlight, three jars for a pound. Though they don't shine so brightly as the girl that I've found.

I think I speak for many of us when I say: I wish this whole wonderful online community you have cultivated lived close by to have the exact type of fellowship you are talking about ❤. You talked about in one of your videos wanting to be described as someone who lights up a room. Well, my dear, I believe you light up thousands of rooms whenever you post a video. I moved from Finland to US and I was so lonely, one day I met this woman who had so many friends and I asked her how she knows everyone, she just told me that she stopped waiting for people to ask her to do things and started inviting people. When I moved again I took that advice, start being really intensional about asking people out to do things and letting them know I want to be a friend. I know that isn’t easy for everyone to start a conversation with a stranger and it wasn’t easy for me, I learned small talk and started openly about my interests. I found a friend who also likes to thrift ( like me) we started a little business then and there and also started asking everyone we know to hang out with us. It has completely changed my life. I started a girls night group where we hang out on Thursday nights, we started a book club and play date group for the ones with kids. You are so brave to reach out and find friends. I wish I lived close to you since we would all love to hang out. Also I love this casual vlog.

yes to casual, spontaneous vlogs! I enjoy them the most. And well done you for daring to ask friends out and suggest your own plans. I never ever get invited to anything. When I do ask anyone to meet for coffee or anything simple like that they usually say yes and then cancel on me at the last minute, and I end up going out anyway by myself. It's very frustrating. So I've learnt to just do things on my own. It's easier, more straight forward and I never cancel on my own plans xD

My fiancé and I have been enjoying waffles every weekend. It's something I really enjoyed from my childhood and it feels magical to have them again as adults 🥰 As for the friendship piece and struggling to make or find friends as an adult, I completely understand. I recently got engaged last month and when it came down to figuring out who I would ask to be apart of my bridal party, it hurt looking at the tiny list of names I had written down. Friendships for me have faded over the years and although I do have a few dear friends still, we all live so far apart. I sometimes wish friendships were as easy to make as when we were kids

Morgan, aka "Mo", dear 💑. I so understand your issues making friends. Since childhood I have had struggles? challenges? Making peer friends. My parents were older so my exposure to seniors and their childhood references became mine. Then with my Father being in the Navy we moved a bit. My 3rd home was the 1st I remembered. We lived in Hawaii. Yes. It was Paradise. But over 6K miles from family. Anywhoodle, don't get out the violins. I survived but could never get that special "bosom friend" like Anne (with "e") did. I always had movies, books and Barbies. Lol. I was also a very sensitive child with a big imagination and a huge sense of wonder and joy in the smallest to biggest things. But rarely that special friend who could feel as deeply. I am blessed I always had a special teacher, older friend or adoptive grandmother to share things with. I recently made 3 friends (in last 2 years) who are younger than me. So it's nice. They are very kind, supportive, genuine and special. But also quite busy. But that's ok. I too wish I lived near you, but I’m all the way across the country in SW Florida. We share so many of the same interests that unfortunately my real life acquaintances don’t. Oh how I would love to meet up in a cafe and have a cup of tea together, go book shopping, go for walks in the forest, visit as many little library locations as possible, work on some fun art projects, see sunrises and sunsets, etc. I’m about halfway through our book club book and finding lots of helpful info in there regarding friendships. Sorry I missed the premiere but oh my goodness what a fun video Morgan! Seriously I really love these casual videos as life is not perfect and not having to deal with perfection in filming your videos is freeing. Just be you. That is why we are here.

I like to make my own berry sauce for pancakes and waffles. You just put a 1/2c frozen berries, 2 T butter, and about 2-3 T of syrup in a saucepan. Warm it up on the stove and give it a good stir. Enjoy!

Thank you for posting this about making new friends. I just feel so "stuck" anymore, and am really at a very low ebb. I miss the camaraderie and companionship of being around friends. Working from home has really put a dent in any interaction, and since we live out in the country, it's become way too easy to just cocoon myself away. And it's been weighing on my heart a lot.
