Welcome to the first episode of the Ultimate Crystal Digging Guide!! Join me on this crystal mining adventure as I venture into the Ouachita National Forest to find beautiful clear quartz crystals.
This old mine site is called Crystal Vista. It is located in Arkansas (USA) and open to the public at no charge. After a short hike, you will reach the mountain top and digging area. Quartz crystals can be fairly easily collected from the ground surface of this 4-acre former commercial crystal mine.
From Mt. Ida, travel south on Highway 27 for 3.8 miles and turn left on Owley Road. Continue on Owley Road for 4.1 miles until you reach the Crystal Vista trail head on your left.

This video is part of why I decided to go there today while visiting this part of the state. Then I saw you tonight at Ari’s while having dinner, but I was too shy to say hello. Thank you for the inspiration. It was a beautiful day to find some crystals & commune with nature. I left the mountain some homegrown sage in return for the quartz. Namaste.

My husband and I hiked this last weekend, absolutely BEAUTIFUL! The view, the energy, the ppl! We met some collectors from Canada, and a local dude on the trail who showed us where to go dig. We lost him at some point when my brother called me lol, so didn't get to properly thank him! I really dig the antler, that is a great idea! Strong but won't scratch the Crystals. I'm going to have to try that. We did not find alot here but that's because we ran out of daylight. What we did find was beautiful. It was worth the hike just for the great energy.

I went here yesterday. Heck of an uphill hike, but was well worth it. Found a few great, clear points, and a few crystal covered flat “plates”. I will be going back with a backpack and pry bar.

We went here yesterday and it was AWESOME. Quite the hike up there, haha but very much worth it! We found a hidden vein on the side of a cliff (kinda sketchy, but other than the scorpion I found out I was sitting on it was pretty safe) and found some AMAZING clusters and points!! Visited the Wegner mines after this and it too was very fruitful! Thanks for the recommendations!!

hells yeah man just holler some of the wood I find has sap that petrified and it will have crystals all over it like quartz crystal tips but amber colored

I just walked the vista two hours ago it was daylight when we made it to the mine and dark before we got half way to the truck one thing I can say is the guy who makes the crystal videos is most definitely an expert digger so if anyone needs pointers on digging crystals watch that man's channel he knows his shit

@@bbeckham83 Yeah, one of ours was 8 when he went, he loved it. Just make sure you bring stuff to keep cool with and that everyone has digging tools for themselves. Kids generally love digging in the ground.

@@bbeckham83 sorry you said crystal vista...I've not been there. From this video, it looks like a lot of walking and searching rather than just digging. May not be the best for that age group. I would recommend going to a pay to dig place, so there's less opportunity for boredom

I am from Berlin, Germany originally. Before I settled in Arkansas in 2008, I did a lot of traveling and that’s when I lived on the Big Island of Hawai’i for a while. I would consider it one of my homes.. 🤙 Aloha vibes!
