Video idea: you get all your cotton partial skeins together and you do a two part video series of “how many bucket hats/bandanas can I make using my yarn scraps” and just use up as many partials that can be incorporated into larger projects.”

All your smaller scraps that’s too much to cut up but not enough to make a big impact on a project… make a “rainbow stripe” bucket hat. You can get a bunch of colors that compliment each other, all pastels for example, and stripe them into a rainbow hat. A lot of work weaving in the ends, but they’d be used up and in a pretty cute hat.

For the tops that were returned, I think you could advertise them as returns and sell them at a discounted rate if you don’t want to frog them. I’m sure someone would be interested in them if given the opportunity, and you still get some money for the work you put in. Just a thought

I think a bucket hat made with all the scraps would be fun. Just use one scrap until it ends and then add on another one. It will be random, fun and satisfying because you're eliminating all the scraps!

An idea for you! You can donate the yarn you don't want too. I have found a lot of great yarn at thrift stores and it will be found and loved.

I agree! When I come across yarn at the thrift store I’m always at least checking it out. At least at my local one they usually group the yarn together and sell it as like a grab bag. There may also be a second hand craft place to bring it to as well, but at least at the thrift store you could donate leftover yarn, as well as any already made items.

Take the smaller bits with some black cotton, put them together in a scrap rug or doggy mat to put on the couch for doggy to lie on!! It will even be machine washable!

You should make a scrap yarn cardigan! You just use all the random colors and tie the knots on the outside, leaving the tails hanging out; I know it sounds funky but they look really cool!

If there are small bits of skeins that you genuinely think you won’t use, you could always do a giveaway/raffle of a few little goodie bags with a few mixed bits in each bag and send them off to your followers and see what they can make with it and post it and tag you. People could even vote on who best used the sCRAP (as I call it lol) you sent them. Or sending it away alone could at least be a way to engage followers while also clearing up space in your room. Honestly you can obvi do what you want but it was just an idea I wanted to share!

I agree: a video of using scraps would be interesting. Also, make granny squares. You said that you sell bags easily, and granny squares and bags go together. You have enough yarn there for at least five bags. 😊❤

I gift a lot of scrap yarns to the local knitting group that teaches at the library once a week. I've also sent old needles, hooks, misc accessories. People are super excited to learn and then get to take some yarn and a hook home to keep practicing.

You can also try your local nursing homes or assisted-living facilities of their crafting areas could well use your scrap yarn little balls. Whatever have you I know for a fact that they do share with the women residence that can crochet and they just maybe they just do a simple granny square, it’s something they can do and it keeps their interest and it makes their days go faster. Love this video love seeing the beginning of your RU-vid life. It was great.

Scrap bags or tops would be really cute. You could sell the returns on your site for cheaper with a disclaimer that they were returns. I’ve bought clothes that way and was very happy with my purchase.

I picked up crochet again this week for the first time in like two years (thank you for the inspiration!). I've made two of these same market bags and I'm like halfway through a third already. I need to stop. But my next project is a patchwork granny square cardigan! I'm going to mix a bunch of different squares styles with a palette of buttercup yellow, a soft sage green, bright white, and a like... milk chocolate sort of brown? Very cottagecore. I'm so excited. >w
