Digging Clams at Nanoose Bay // Tips for Clamming // Nanoose Bay Recreational Shellfish Reserve

In this episode I’m sharing our fun experience of digging clams at Nanoose Bay in Vancouver Island. This is the only place we knew that is legal to harvest clams in the Island. There are actually lots of clams and oysters everywhere in the coast but clamming is not permitted because the water is contaminated with toxins that can cause paralytic shellfish poisoning.
In this video I also mentioned some useful tips to remember when digging clams.
Hope this one helps!
