I really appreciate the consideration and advice about digging up a stump. I’m getting fairly good at it but still have a lot to learn. Great work! BTW: I am a pastor and love your Jesus shirt.
An excavator would be better for getting the stumps out, but your soil is the main consideration when planning on a pond, imho. There's so much sand in Florida, that it's often a real trial to get it to seal. But in your case, it appears the water table is so high
Hank, if you were Massachusetts and dug in the wet lands, they would fine you until you lost your property and then they would fine you more until you lost your family as well!!!
Not to come down on you at all, but never hook a winch line back to itself. The cable ones will kink and the synthetic ones will cut and go flying. You said your wife has to rescue quite a bit. You may want to invest in some soft shackles, tree savers and log chains. Keep them handy so you don't get in a hurry and cut corners. I hate hearing about tragedies. Be safe. You still had another tractor you could have used in your line up! lol
Yep, ag tires would have helped a great deal. But they do tear up the ground. Buried our compact many times and the ag tire saved my butt every time. It is a great video.
Can't show what we don't have 😁... but there's a channel called "rockhill farm" He named his channel that bc he has a lot of rocks in the ground on his property.
Hello hello fellow hamiltonville farms junkies Today's video with Hank digging out a stomp Does anybody out there know the name of the background music that is being blade I would like to know The name of this song Is any information on it would be helpful
Buddy standing by that winch cable back there very dangerous with that much pressure, need to hang a weight on your winch cable when pulling that hard so if the cable comes loose or breaks the cable will drop to the ground ,stay safe out there friend great videos and really like the saying on the shirt you have on about Jesus .
Oh Hank the tractor weigh as much as the truck plus it is in sticky mud be careful don't burn out your wench motor make it a two part line with a snatch block is better than taking a chance of equipment damage
Unless A) you're just having fun or B) you plan on plowing that field or C) you just wanted that big hole, you might thing about renting a stump grinder! Good job digging it out anyway
I would before you spend all that time with the county in the run around Figure in your mind how big and where the footprint of the pond is gonna be and make sure that you take plenty of test tolls to make sure you're not sitting on some rock And the ground is good ground to build upon with And make sure that you get all the tree roots out Because all it takes is one good sized tree root That sticking up in the bottom of the pond and wicking it out to the end of the old route is a perfect drain for it to drain the pond
Use your outriggers and bucket to pull yourself out , you can walk a hoe across or out of a hole walking it and all wheels don’t need to be on the ground to do it
I live in FL. I have “wet lands” on my property but its really only a place that water drains to if there is a massive storm. I want to put a portable shed on a wet land area, but I have to submit an waiver application through the FL Dept of Environmental Protection because no structure can be with in 25 feet of the wet land area (I only have half an acre and don’t many places to put it).
I live in Venice Florida and there building big houseing developments on what used to be wetlands. Its crazyy all the building thats going on down here. Ive always heard and would think that u cant build on wet lands
Wow here in Oregon wetlands are protected even though it rains here all the time It's ridiculous what hopes you have to jump through in this state So that's good check it out Period
Howboutcha. This seems like an interesting channel. Tractor videos are kind of boring though. Have you ever thought about doing those “Will it start videos”
