Digimon’s Most Overlooked Season | Appmon ULTIMATE REVIEW Series Retrospective 

Best? That feels like really pushing it. Even in the story it was blatantly obvious it the was big corporation behind everything but the main trio was still shocked to learn who was the bad guy. It was just eyeroll inducing. Less said about the narrator's voice announcing evolution the better. Not saying it didn't have potential but it got fumbled.

Did it get an English dub?

@@Bezaliel13 as far as i know no, but i really think you should go with the sub considering the voice and story changes made have been a bit lackluster recently

​@thedigiknow maybe the digital field and ar feild exist because the digital world absorb digiquartz feild digital and both feilds are In 4d space because 4d internet is possible

​@thedigiknow, but for now on, the internet is 5d space, but the digital field is closer to the real world, and the ar field closer to the net but still in the metaverse

I'm split on ghost game, on one hand I really enjoyed a good number of the individual episodes, on the other hand none of the shows character arcs were memorable to me, and the Overarching plot took way too long to progress, along with the Story Disapointing me for how long we were made to wait for it.

To me Tri felt like an unnecessary attempt to use an old setting to expand on things nobody asked for nostalgia while Appmon's worst crime is having too much filler, I at least praise the 2020 reboot for telling it's own story but Appmon still felt like the best recent Digimon series

Tri was just bad, it is an anniversary product that dedicates its entire run time to being an asshole to some random girl, to the point that the main villain ends molesting her, and by the end the protagonist even kill her partner, and for no good reason other than the writers having a boner for making her suffer Which of course has nothing to do at all with the idea of reconnecting with the old cast as we get to see them as grown ups

It's actually kind of sad that so many sets have come out and they have pulled Digimon from just about everywhere except this show. I hope they get cards also. I don't play the tcg often due to being a Magic player, but I do have a few decks and buy packs now and then to collect since I love Digimon.

I agree about the naming convention. I think it had something to do with Tri being for old fans and this trying to create NEW fans. But a rebrand / spinoff title "Appmon" was a mistake imo.

Yep but with its proximity to Digimon Adventure Tri I could 100% understand why they thought "Tri will hit for lapsed adult fans and Appmon will create NEW young fans"

What main point did not age well? I kept them in *because* they still felt accurate and worth mentioning for people who are on the fence about Appmon looking for reasons why it's different from seasons they may have tried. I also make comparisons & critiques of Tri, Adventure 2020, Adventure 1999 throughout this video -- so why are my Ghost Game comments the issue? Maybe you just liked that season more than I did, and that's fine.

Second, I pointed out how something taking up the end of your video would have been fresh on my mind after finishing the vid more than your "comparisons & critiques of Tri, Adventure 2020, Adventure 1999 throughout this video." Third, the timestamp of when you started complaining about Ghost Game *to end the video* throughout. *_(WARNING: I was a tad rambly.)_* Lastly, I feel obligated to elaborate on how Ghost Game plot was a backstory to explain the Digimon of the Week, MotW. I mean, it was "world-ending threat appeared, Digimon evacuated, and the protags had to deal with the fallout." Sadly, I am not knowledgeable enough on youkai works nor ghost story franchises to properly explain how *"Ghost* Game" does not sound like a syndicated plot, but I can stand by how the plot was more a *backstory than a goal.* Honestly, I do not see how an overarching big bad would really work for the horror of a ghost story anime, especially when the main threat was Gulus all along. I mean, I cannot imagine there being a ghost story anime with an overarching big bad, like Nurarihyon or something, when they are fighting stuff like spirits, and the characters knowing Gulus was the cause of everything earlier might have been awkward. Could have just undermined the scare factor of the MotW ngl, which were the point of each episode. Frankly, how would the idea of horror from Digimon not understanding humans had fit with some "mastermind" being behind everything?
