I cannot emphasise how hyped I was watching this scene for the first time all those years ago on TV. It really feels like the climax of the entire series, and to this day watching it still gives me goosebumps.
for me, the fight with Belphemon really felt like the climax for the whole thing. The royal knight saga just felt like generic storytelling by comparison.
when leomon started talking in the backround while that music was playing during the transformation....my spine chilled with epicness...like if you agree
Kurata: "No! Please! Take pity on me Marcus! Ohohoh!" Marcus: "Pity's all I have for you." I think that may be my favorite line in the series. It's just badass.
@@SasukeUchiha-lq4tc The Japanese track is better 95% of the time, but here, I feel like the Burst theme for both Eng/Jap were equally god-like in their own way. The English one really emphasizes the fact Marcus has unlocked the most powerful evolution (Burst mode) and is basically unstoppable. The Japanese one feels like Marcus has unlocked a power to save the world, and is about to destroy a great evil with it like a crusader of Justice. Love them both
BanchoLeomon: You've done it, Marcus Damon and you too ShineGreymon. By combining the intensity of your emotions and your everlasting friendship with each other, you've been able to push past the Mega level into new uncharted areas of power. This is what the true Burst Mode looks like.
Marcus voice actor Quinton Flynn is the one who also voiced Raiden in Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance which can be identified by the intense scream, when Marcus screams Kurata's name is similar to how Raiden screams Armstrong's name in the final boss battle.
He is the reckless, hotheaded hot-blooded Shonen Protagonist. He is defined by burning passion, unending resolve, and by god there is no obstacle in *ANY* universe you can throw in front of him that he won't find some way to overcome with the help of his friends.
TAVARIUS POWELL he was desperate his friends were getting destroyed and he wanted to defeat Belphemon and Karata so much that he would risk his life so their safe
While completely epic all around, my favorite part is at 2:33, when ShineGreymon shoots him a look that just screams "I'm going to kill you". You can tell from Kurata's reaction he realizes how utterly screwed he is, which is perfect, because Kurata was a complete monster who deserved everything that happened to him and him begging for his life is just perfect.
I know this might be many years late , but I remembered watching this particular scene back when I was 11 years old and this was definitely my favorite part as well cause you know that Kurata was in for a world of trouble when ShineGreymon gave the Angry stare ; Good thing too cause Kurata was a "complete nightmare" !!
Can we just stop and think about how awesome this scene is. Belphemon seems like a near invincible foe, and its clear thar there's some bad blood between Kurata and Marcus. Then, just as things start looking bad, tamer and Digimon become enlightened and reveal their true power. The right itself looks epic with all the flames and Belphemon's desperation attacks. What's more, this is some of the quietest dialogue fight scene. No puns, no witty banter, just an all powerful dragon and his tamer going all out against a common foe.
It there was one thing savers was best at it was ending things with a bang. The thing I think it's short on is equal fights. Almost all fights are extremely one sided.
Aah! True Nostalgia I feel whenever I watch this anime got goosebumps because childhood memories were awaken at that time. This is the show I used to watch back in 2007 when I was a school kid at 5 years of age now commenting this in 2023, 16 years ahead of that time. Sometimes I think that time was awesome 16 years ago and tv shows contains an entertaining stuf. Alas! We were too young at that time.
i have never hated a digimon villian more than i hated Karada i was wanting him to get punched in the face almost from the very start after he killed Merukimon.
Most iconic digimon partners 1. Tai and agumon (a cute but strong trex like creature) 2. Davis and imperialdramon (powerful blue dragon warrior with cannons, nuff said) 3. Takato and guilmon (a crimson aggressive dinosaur) 4. Tayuka and agunimon (a powerful fire warrior) 5. Marcus and shinegreymon 6. Tai and Alforceveedramon (a royal knight) These are my most favorite digimon teamups even though i am still a dog digimon fan.
The best part is the fact that Marcus finally gets that final attack on Kurata. Since all throughout this "saga" of season 5 where he would constantly talk about what he would do when he finally gets his hands on Kurata and @3:33 when he's fading away, you can literally see that Marcus punched his face in haha Epic scene one of my top Digimon moments right here!
@@imgood6535 Trust and believe that I sure didn't think that! Oct 17th (the Monday after next) will mark FIVE YEARS since I quit my call center job to do RU-vid full-time!
I laughed at the way they tried to censor Marcus' punch; it's like they added more blood spray sparkle effects to try to cover up the punch, making the thing look more gruesome than it actually was.
In the last episode, Yoshi could punch just as hard as Marcus. I think she learned something when Marcus sent Kurata straight down to hell. And when ShineGreymon was walking towards Kurata, that may as well been Marcus doin that.
ShineGreymon Burst Mode is awesome. I could imagine ShineGreymon and EmperorGreymon combining into an awesome Digimon, so EmperorGreymon can enter Burst Mode.
@@brianhalljr.2637 Susanoomon Burst Mode would be hella overpowered I think, at least if we scale him to the ReArise version. In ReArise, Lucemon SM was actually owning ALL Royal Knights at once, and Susanoomon >> Lucemon SM. And Susanoomon also said somewhere that Examon is just a good warm-up and nothing else. 😄
To me this is the best season like its so underrated like they don't talk about friend ship and lose in every episode like annoying season 4 he literally beats everyone's ass and its soooo cool like look at ravemon this season is my second favorite to season 2
Yeah in season 4 they got their asses handed to them constantly. It also didn't make sense since ancientgreymon and ancientgarurumon were the strongest of the legendary warriors yet they couldn't even beat fucking duskmon. The season was stupid and made no sense.
+Mega Burst Mode Ancient Greymon/Ancient Garurumon =/= The Spirits of Fire and The Spirit of Light. They have their power, just not all of them. If they did, they'd be walking through all of the enemies the faced.
Looks like somebody was at TV Tropes... But we totally agree. Kurata had this coming all series. Or at least from the part where he revived Belphemon - fate hates hypocrites.
I don't think Kurata knows the true meaning of Bio-Merge Digivolution: the human goes naked and gets sent within the digimon's data while the digimon warps to mega, and both the human and the digimon work together.
Bio hybrid and merging in season 5 and such was actually inferior to what was actually stated. The bio hybrids with the data of a mega were still no stronger than a regular generic mega despite their boastful claims. For example darkdramon is a digimon with strength and attacks that are supposed to rival that if dukemon according to his profile but this wasn't the case. Bio darkdramon was no where near that powerful seeing how shinegreymon fared against dukemon.
@Godzillawolf1 I am so completely in agreement with you I can't even say. Especially on the part of Shine Greymon walkin through the fire with a look and stance that just screams out "Righteous Fury" and "Bringer of Pain" as he stalks towards the bad guy. Peace out!
Best season. makes the first season look like shit, well every season makes the first one look like crap. Point is, this this the best and most underrated season ever
