I'm 31. Watched the movie when I was 7 or 8. I rewatched the entire series 1-5 in the original Japanese version in my 20s. Watched the old Digimon The Movie again recently. I must recognise it's lost it's original meaning, but I still find it so awesome in a completely different sense. Ofc it's full of nostalgia, but also fires you up to get your things together and face your struggles as a digi-destined would.

On ALL MY ON EVERYTHING AND EVERYBODY all I been through in my life at 36 I DEFINITELY remember being a Digimon fan back in the day, but I could NEVER for the LIFE of me after EVERYTHING I've been in the past 20 yrs could NOT remember where this song came from when it was popping up in my head 😂😂. Hey Ryo might not have goggles but he defeated Milleniummon witch is DNA Digivolved form of Machindramon and Kimeramon he is seen briefly in season two of his data getting deleted on a sandy field right before Ryo in one of Ken's flashback memories some of Millenniummon's data got transferred into Cyberdramon his partner Digimon that is why he was so hard Digimon to maintain as seen in season 3. Yeah the Series doesn't go deep into that story but in the comics or if you read bout it that is the backstory of that past vision Ken has where you can notice Millenniummon make a cameo appearance of his data getting deleted. Just thought it was one of those obscure canon stories that isn't explained in the series I'd like to share.

The best leaders are Tai, Davis, and Takuya. Tai has my favorite Mega Level Digimon. Davis is just awesome. And Takuya has my favorite Mega Level Warrior Digimon to it just seems like another Wargreymon but in a Warrior Digimon form.

really the only one of the five currently shown (excluding Ryo since he was mostly followed in games and was a pretty late addition to tamers) I didn't like that much was frontier. I feel like they loved the idea of Bio-Merging that was created in the previous series and decided to do that for the whole series. Besides that anything after Savers/Data Squad I just stopped watching cause it resembled nothing of the shows before it. Though I am keeping up with Tri, probably one of the best decisions they ever made. Though I am a bit shocked at the level of cowardice that Tai has been showing.

god I wish I was old enough to experience the early 2000s. this song is incredible along with the entire digimon franchise. uncovering all the ancient youtube videos is such a surreal experience and I so wish I could've experienced them during their heyday and been a part of all this. there's a certain "DIY" charm to everything from this era that is lost in today's internet.

@@mkjiisus The 2020 Digimon series might suit your gen. Though I haven’t watched it myself, it looks really promising. Can’t go wrong with the first movie though! I’d say its a timeless gem in its own right.
